This book was perfect for me. As I mentioned in a previous column, for this whole House of M thing, I’m just getting the main mini-series. I have no interest in the multiple spin-offs. And the only reason I picked this up is because I usually get the Pulse anyways.
Oh, and it was only fifty cents.
Printed on newsprint, this whole “comic” reads like a newpaper from the world of the House of M.
And I say this is perfect for me because I got a nice overview of all the happenings of the myriad stories happening in Marvel right now.
So nice, I don’t have to buy them. Because frankly, we know they’re not going to have much of an impact overall.
We get a nice feature on the Hulk, and all the news about Lord Magnus, and Dazzler. It’s also a bit of a parody of tabloid newspapers, and it’s neat to see the fun they poke at all the characters.
It’s an interesting look at the crossover. You don’t need this book. If you’re reading the other books, this will probably not add anything to your experience. But for those of us not willing to give all our money to Marvel, this is a nice overview.
