Wow, what happened here? Why are there so many damn people drawing this book? I can only assume that this book was going to be way late and they really needed to get it out on time. So everyone who could, pitched in.
It makes for a very jagged and inconsistant read, but the story more than makes up for it. And while inconsistant, the art is good for the most part, so I’m not going to harp on it. Because if this book didn’t get out on time, it would have been a little weird.

Also, if you have not been reading OMAC or the Superman books, you may be a little lost. See, Max Lord is controlling Superman’s mind. And Superman sees Wonder Woman as a threat. That simple. That’s the whole story. What happens is…..a big fight. The whole issue is one big fight between the two of them. And I don’t know if that’s ever happened before. Regardless, it’s pretty cool to see.
In the end (which comes rather quickly) Wonder Woman realizes there is only one solition to this situation. There is only one way Max will let up. And what she does….well, writer Greg Rucka wasn’t lying when he said this would change things forever. It’s a bit of a shock endning, but I don’t see how it could have gone any other way.
Because I’ve been reading OMAC and simply loving it, this was a great and exicitng read for me.
But for those who have not, as a stand alone issue, it may not be as powerful.
