ACROSS THE POND STUDIOS SIGN WITH SPEAKEASY FOR NEW SCI-FI PROJECT
FEATURING STEPHAN NILSON AND STEVE SCOTT

July 19, 2005 “¢ Port St. Lucie, FL – Sunday July 17, 2005 papers were officially signed by Across the Pond Studios and Speakeasy Comics to publish ATP’s Metal Locus, written by Stephan Nilson (Government Bodies) and penciled by Steven Scott (JLA/New Warriors).

“We’ve been talking with Speakeasy for the past two months about several projects.” Stephan explained, “Metal Locus was top of the list of books that Adam (Fortier) was interested in publishing, and I’ve been following Adam’s success with Speakeasy and knew it was a winning combination.” Across the Pond Studios has been making its mark over the past year with sell out hits like “ARMOR X”, “The Iron Ghost” and their underground hit “Government Bodies”.

“Things are really starting to take off for ATP” added Steve, “Since the mid nineties to now, I have been fortunate to have worked with some of the best writers in the comics industry. Never have I had a script excite me as much as this. Stephan is soon to be one of the top writers in the business and Metal Locus is sure to be one of the most talked about Sci-fi hits to come along in years. Publishing through Speakeasy is fantastic since they are on the path to being a major player in the publishing business, and I’m pretty sure the projects (and announcements) will continue to get bigger and better.”

Metal Locus is scheduled for release at MegaCon in Feb, 2006. Other contributors to the project are inker Luis Alonso, colorist Michel P. Laurendeau and ATP Letterer Charles Pritchett.
