I have tendered my resignation as President of the NWA & from the Board of Directors. A statement has been issued on my website due to
it probably being removed from this site & board.
I will remain an active member of the NWA, as I have fulfilled all obligations under the bylaws.
I also will be logging out from this forum for good, so best of luck to everyone.

NY Pro Wrestling Laws Change
NY Governor George Pataki signed into law on July 19 bill A07496
(details online: http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A07496), which
greatly reduces some of the outdated restrictions on professional
wrestling today.
The new bill removes the outdated licensing requirements for referees, judges, match-maker, timekeeper, treasurer, box office employee, manager, trainer, second or announcer (The NY State Athletic Commission stopped issuing wrestler’s licenses around 2002).
However, the bill was also a small step backward, as the same bill
closed an existing loophole. While the original law did state that a
promoter’s license was required, the law now includes that promoting without a license can result in a misdemeanor charge. We will still work to have this requirement removed as well, but we understand the need to close legal loopholes.
Professional Wrestling laws in New York have been barely updated since 1920. This is the biggest step in a campaign to reform professional wrestling laws, and point out the flaws in the inconsistent actions by the New York State Athletic Commission.
