Welcome every one to the first week of The Staff Vs. The Fourms. If you havn’t been on the Inside Pulse Fourms as of late or your not up to speed on how this works I’m going to run it down. I take two Inside Pulse staff members and two randomly choosen registered members of the Inside Pulse fourm and I ask them five questions which are answered in true or false fashion and also one bonus question. Now, I’m sure your wonder how can i be entered so i can be in SVF well just head on over to the fourms, register, and send me a PM and your entered.

So with out further ado let’s introduce the participants for this week

Introducing first representing the Inside Pulse Staff :

First we have the girl who puts it all “In Perspective”

(BW) Bambi Weavil

And her partner Mr. TNA him self…..

(JL) Jeremy Lambert

And thier opponets representing the Inside Pulse Fourms :

(PW) Paul Walker better known as “Grr_Argh” to the good people on the fourm and now Mr. Walker will tell you a little about himself.

I’m a 28 year old computer operator from NC. I also mod the forums. I grew up watching WCCW on ESPN and NWA on TBS in the 80’s. I knew who the WWF guys were, but it came on too late for me on Saturday nights. I hate long walks on the beach. And fine dining makes me puke.

And his partner …….

(LR) Lester Romero aka “Severn” and here is Mr. Romero to tell you a few things about himself.

Well I’m 28 years old (29 next month) I grew up watching wrestling and unlike most of my friends never out grew it (hell every time I buy a WWE DVD the clerks who ring me up give me the usual “I used to watch this when the Austin and Rock were around”. Wagon jumpers). I work on the Hill in DC and Latino (Nicaraguan to be exact). I love wrestling, horror movies and toys. I even made a website devoted to my favorite toy line. I love US/Asian comics and just a collector… actually I’m a toy junkie.

Well now that we know our contestants it’s on to the questions.

1.) It Was a good decision by WWE to end the shoot angle with Matt Hardy & Edge ??

BW: True – Well, it’s not exactly over, it’s just now worked. Vince McMahon was smart to see the money he could make bringing Matt Hardy back in a “controlled” reality based storyline. I think it could be written better, but it seems by a trial by error WWE
storyline.

JL: False – This really ended when Matt jumped Edge backstage. No way does a non-employee get backstage like that. They could have kept the in-ring attacks going and maybe done some parking lot stuff with the two. Vince could have made it a non-sanctioned match at SummerSlam to make it look like things were still on bad terms. Instead Matt sells out by coming out of Vince’s limo (after being fired and months of torture on Raw) and cutting a less than perfect promo. Rob Blatt has done the best job of covering this and how it has been ruined now. Kudos to him. This could have been one of the top angles in WWE/F history, instead we will vaugely remember it due to all the un-need non-sense that has gone on with it.

PW: True – It was a good idea to end the whole crazy run in deal, yes. It had gotten to the point that you just knew whenever Edge had a match that Matt would run in, get a few licks in, get pulled off, and the announcers would no sell it. To me, that was boring as hell. Now that the two have an open stage to really just rip into each other it should get a lot more interesting, as long as we don’t
get another car accident angle out of it. My only question is, since they’ve already got JBL/Batista as a No Holds Barred match at Summer Slam, what do they give Edge and Matt that could do the feud justice? I don’t really think a cage fits it. They’re rumored to be using the ladder for Eddie/Rey. They can’t just let these guys try to have a straight match. They need to come up with something
outstanding to fit the emotion these guys have.

LR: True – Well they have to set up the match at some pont. You can have only have so many run-ins to the point where the crowd is expecting it and thus bored by it. Also the E’s newfound “respect” of the internet fans makes them fully aware that online fans were tired of seeing the scheduled Matt Hardy interference. Hardy attacks Edge – then gets arrested -rinse, wash, and repeat. At least now we have a confirmed date for their match at SummerSlam and the E can promote this full blast and actually mention Matt on TV.

It appears that Mr. TNA can’t agree with with any one else on this topic I personally have said the same things that Lambert is saying now. If only Hevia would have believed me from the beginning.

2.) WWE should give the cruiserweights their own show like velocity since>
they are beefing up that divison ??

BW: False – I think it should however be spread out on all the shows, so all the talent is showcased equally. I think all shows should build toward the storylines so WWE fans feel compelled to watch all the shows to be able to keep up.

JL – True – Why not? They aren’t really getting time on Smackdown! They are on Velocity every week anyway so they might as well turn the entire show into the cruiserweight show. Too bad their SpikeTV contract is almost up and Velocity won’t exist in October. They also won’t give the cruiserweights the Velocity timeslot because that involves wrestling and people may actually watch wrestling. It’s sad that they’ve hired good cruiserweights and have banned their moves and stuck them with crappy gimmicks. They should have all gone to TNA.

PW: True – If they’re really wanting to do something with the cruisers, I would love for them to have their own show. If for no other reason than, it’ll be easier for me to avoid them. I’ve been an admitted disliker of cruiser style wrestling for a long time. But I will admit that there is a large portion of the audience that it appeals to. The cruisers having their own show would give them the opportunity to showcase their talents without being overshadowed by the big boys as well as giving the fans that like them a whole show that they can enjoy without having to sit through the lumber lugs that they’re not so fond of.

LR: False – Although I’d love to see cruisers on my TV they shouldn’t get their own show. You have to spice it up with different types of wrestlers, to have a mix of all kinds of talent to make a show work. That being said I don’t see whay they can’t make the program very cruiserweight heavy. Have a lot of cruiser action but at the same time don’t put all your eggs in one basket if you know what I mean because honestly and I hate to break this to some people -some fans don’t like cruiserweights. And that’ll never change so it’s best to mix it up instead of alienating a certain part of the audience.

Well on this question I would have to agree with Paul i think they should actually give ECW their own show and the cruisers their own. For the pure fact is if they wanted to “beef” up the cruiser division why did they fire so many cruisers last month? Or, if they are bringing in so many ECW guys why did they fire the Dudleys? I just don’t understand the WWE.

3.) At TNA’s next Pay-Prer-View Sacrifice TNA will pull the trigger and reunite The New Age Outlaws ??

BW: True – I haven’t been following the TNA storylines recently but that wouldn’t surprise me since they can capitalize on something already familiar to the audience.

JL: True – For the love of God yes. Everyone in the whole world knows that BG will turn on the 3LK and start teaming with Kip again. Sacrifice is the perfect time to do it because it’s shaping up to be a very good PPV. People are going to rent the PPV to see AJ vs. Joe and Daniels vs. Pick. They may also rent it to see Sabu and Raven team up to take on Rhino in his first TNA match. Might as well reward them by pulling the trigger on the whole James Saga. It’s been a nice run that started at Destination X but it needs to end at Sacrifice.

PW: True – I’ll admit, I don’t really follow TNA that much. But I do know Billy Gunn and Jesse James. And I know that they were only at their best when they were together. The sooner they get the guys together, the sooner they can get that last little bit of the Outlaws out of their systems, be entertaining for the first time in years and then hopefully ride off into their own personal sunsets.

LR: False – I never gave a damn about the NAO since their inception BUT TNA should pull the trigger on this now and bring the band back together. TNA has a track record of pulling the trigger too late (like in Raven’s current title reign) and I think this will happen again with this angle. I like TNA I hope they succeed but as fun to watch as they are they pull some really dumb moves from time to time. I think they should do it but they won’t. Nothing worse than an anti-climatic ending to an angle (Steph/Angle/HHH anyone?). So again no, I don’t think they’ll do it (odds are someone will turn heel and ruin the whole thing anyway).

Lester seems to have a personal vendetta againist the Outlaws. Which is ok but, if any one has been watching TNA lately knows this story is getting old and they need to either keep 3LK together or Reunite the NOA.

4.) When Triple H makes his return to TV he will attempt to hot shot himself back into the title picture by Royal Rumble ??

BW: True – We are talking about Triple H here. (Yes.)

JL: True – Triple H will have a title match at the Royal Rumble or he will win the Royal Rumble. It’s rumored that he’s taking on Ric Flair at Survivor Series and I can’t see the title changing hands on a Brand Only PPV. So the Rumble is where HHH gets his title back/title shot.

PW: False – With the teasing they’ve been having between Trips and JBL I think they’re gona hook them up at some point, if not by Survivor Series, then by Royal Rumble. If they actually hold off on HHH chasing the title until the Rumble then it actually won’t be too bad. It will have been 9-10 months since he’s held the title. I’d say that would be long enough for it to be fresh-ish again. I guess basically, what I’m saying is that if they hold off till the Rumble, it won’t be a “hot shot”. It’ll be enough time for the WWE title to regain it’s prestige it lost by being on the perceived “B” show and if they still have the title on Cena he should finally be big enough for Trips/Cena to actually be a money match.

LR: True – By Royal Rumble if not a little before then. Royal Rumble is right were your mania main event tends shape up. The WM main event may swerve from time to time after the rumble but the peices of the puzzle are shown at the Rumble. Will he be there? Damn right he’s going to be there. No wrestler can resist the pull that is mania and Triple H will be there in the Main Event in some capacity. He’s too big a presence to ignore.

Well Paul I wasn’t talking about him being gone. I was refering to his return and when he returns will he jump right back in the title picture, but that is a very interesting take on the situation.

5.) By Matt Hardy telling every one about his personal relationships with lita he killed any chance Kane had at being a legit monster ever again ??

BW: True – For now, he’s completely discredited Kane’s storyline, but I think once Kane is in another storyline, it won’t matter to anyone since Matt’s problems have nothing to do with Kane.

JL: False – Just let Kane pick on another Diva and squash some more jobbers, he’ll be ok. Kane is a big man with talent in WWE so they will find something for him to do. If not, he can always go to TNA.

PW: False – Kane has survived Tori leaving him for X-Pac, Katie Vick, being unmasked, setting JR on fire, and so many other character contradictions and wrestle crap moments that he should have no problem surviving Matt’s promo with his monster status intact. They ruined the whole wedding angle when they actually turned him face because his “wife” that he: 1)Raped 2)Forced into marriage and 3)mentally abused for the duration of their marriage left him for another man. If the guy can survive that, he can survive anything.

LR: False – I think Kane is the least of everyones worries. He’s the teflon don of the WWE. No matter how atrocious the angle he comes through smelling like pie. Yeah Kane was Emo for all of two weeks or so but since then he’s beaten Edge at a PPV and tombstoned Lita and ran off with her body in a stolen ambulance.

Well it appears that we couldnt get these four to agree on not one question but with that said it leads us to …………

* BONUS QUESTION * Now that he has no real story behind any of his current story lines what should WWE do with Kane now ??

BW: Maybe pair him with John Cena. Cena has no real allies and Kane needs something to do. Kane can eventually turn on Cena.

JL: Chris Masters is in the cards for Kane. Have Masters beat Big Show at SummerSlam and then Kane can be the next challenger. WWE loves their Big Men vs Big Men feuds so I’m just keeping that theory up.

PW: They should take everything that’s happened and really have Kane snap. Have him start slowly reverting back to the old days. First, have him put the mask back on but keep talking, then after a month or so, have him go back to the body suit with the straps, then back to the old one sleeve outfit, all the way back until he’s back in his full body suit, not talking just rampaging through anyone and everyone, maybe even stumbling his way into a title or two on the way whether he cares about it or not.

LR: The WWE should send Kane out to do plenty of publicity for his new upcoming movie “Good Night” or “Ice-Scream Man” or whatever they want to call it. I’m a huge horror buff and I know that Lion’s Gate films take their horror seriously so Kane and the E are in good hands. Kane will always have his loyal fans (The KANANITES… BROTHER!) and it’s time to build on that and get some momemntum going in time for his movie debut.

I would like to thank every one for taking part in this weeks Staff Vs. Fourum. I’ll be back next week with Inside Pulse’s Hottest (pun intended) BYTE THIS recapper Eugene Lindberg and the Rabble Miester himself James Hatton
