– PWInsider.com’s Dave Scherer is reporting that morale is low due to low attendence (and therefore lower bonuses from house shows) at live events. John Cena again was not at house shows this weekend, which doesn’t help matters.
– Also from Scherer: Triple H has been learning more aspects of the business while he’s been off of TV, including getting writing credits on some segments recently.
– WWE is reporting early numbers of 235,000 buys for The Great American Bash PPV. Last year’s did about 245,000.
– Buck Woodward is reporting that WWE Diva Search contestant Ashley has appeared in Playboy under the name “Ryan MacKenzie,” and was “Cybergirl of the Month” online in January 2004. Her official Web site doesn’t mention this, however.
– Hulk Hogan and John Cena will be hosting VH1’s Top 20 countdown next weekend.
– The episode of MTV’s “Punk’d” featuring Triple H, Stephanie and Stacy Kiebler will repeat Friday, 8/19, at 3 pm EDT.
