The Inside Pulse:
Remember “Cantaloop” from the early ’90s? Maybe not by name, but the “biddy-biddy bop” and infectious trumpet wormed this little jazz-flavored dance gem into the hearts of many once upon a time. Still, like all one-hit wonders, Us3 could only hope to once again grace the top 40 charts. Unfortunately, that just plain isn’t going to happen with this sleepy, sleepy offering.
Positives:
If you like your jazz light and filled with pop, well, you’re probably getting laughed at, but you would find Us3 rather your taste.
Negatives:
The album is a train wreck of boredom, topped off with a meandering and completely worthless remix of “Cantaloop” that removed every catchy element. I cannot figure out for the life of me why this album exists.
Cross-breed:
Jazz Muzak with a hip-hop beat — on tranquilizers.
Reason to buy:
Oh lord, please, just don’t.
