[WWE] Latest on Hardcore Homecoming & WWE Trademarks

Archive

– Here’s the latest on WWE’s intellectual property story:

*Aside from the three Dudleyz and the Big Van Vader Web site, WWE has gone after Justin Credible and Billy Kidman, claiming they own rights to their names due to owning ECW and WCW’s intellectual property.

*WWE has been calling venues for the upcoming Hardcore Homecoming series of shows on 9/16 in Cleveland, 9/17 in Pittsburgh and 9/18 in Buffalo, saying that the indie promotion is violating WWE trademarks with shows in their arenas. This stems from a photo of the Dudleys on the Hardcore Homecoming Web site taken during their time in ECW (which WWE now owns) and their advertising of “Justin Credible” (although WWE’s trademark on that name expired a while ago).

*InsidePulse Wrestling columnist Ken Anderson has a lot to say about this matter over at TheWrestlingBlog.com.

– In other Hardcore Homecoming news, proceeds from upcoming shows will be donated to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
