[TNA] Big Plans for Spike Debut, Notes on Bret Hart & Sting

Archive

– To follow up on previous reports, TNA’s deal with Spike TV is a 52-week deal running through late September 2006.

– TNA wants to get a big name signed for the debut on Spike TV, or at least for the Bound for Glory Pay Per View on 10/23. The original posters for the PPV featured Kevin Nash, and TNA has contacted Sting and Bret Hart. Sting has been cold to the idea, but Hart has indeed shown interest, but not necessarily until the WWE DVD is finished and out. The only other “big names” that are currently free agents/not officially affiliated with WWE are Chris Jericho, Bill Goldberg and Scott Steiner.

– TNA has also been talking with Ultimo Dragon, who has held out hoping to get a contract. Tito Ortiz will likely be brought in soon. Kenzo Suzuki, while reports have said otherwise in Japan, will not be coming in.
