They say you can’t go home again, but tonight, RAW breaks the rules one more time as the flagship returns to the USA Network with a bang.

Two weeks ago, Mr. McMahon decided that John Cena would make his first defense of the WWE Championship on USA against none other than RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff. Last week, Kurt Angle put Cena through a table with an Angle Slam, and the final RAW on Spike TV went off the air with the GM holding the WWE Championship high. Was this a premonition, or will The Champ overcome the odds once again to retain his gold?

Prior to disrupting last week’s main event, Angle campaigned to Mr. McMahon for another title shot, claiming he earned it by defeating Cena at Unforgiven. Angle’s plea was interrupted by Shawn Michaels, and after a verbal sparring session, Mr. McMahon announced a blockbuster: HBK vs. Angle in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match at Homecoming. Kurt made Michaels tap out at WrestleMania, with HBK evening the score at Vengeance; next week, the man who can score the most falls in 30 minutes will take the rubber match. Angle also put HBK through a table at the conclusion of last week’s RAW; will this give the Olympic Gold Medalist a leg up?

While RAW begins a new era on USA, one man will see the end of his RAW days at Homecoming. The rivalry between Edge and Matt Hardy will come to a head when they do battle in a Loser Leaves RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Last week, Hardy sent Edge flying off a ladder, giving the fans a brief preview of next week. Will Edge be at 100 percent next week to eliminate Hardy once and for all, or will Matt claim a shot at the WWE Championship and put his nemesis out of a job?

SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long made an appearance on RAW, asking Eric Bischoff for some exposure at Homecoming. Mr. McMahon thought this was a great idea, and has given Long the opportunity to have a SmackDown match on the show. Be sure to tune into Friday Night SmackDown to see who will compete in this historic match
.
Also, Women’s Champion Trish Stratus and Ashley will face Torrie Wilson, Candice, and Victoria in a three-on-two Bra and Panties Match. Candice made the challenge after Trish and Ashley stripped her to her bra and panties last week; which Divas will be brought down to their lingerie at Homecoming?

And finally, WWE Homecoming wouldn’t be complete without a dose of the men who helped get RAW off the ground. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper will host Mick Foley on Piper’s Pit. Also, WWE Homecoming will feature the return of “The Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Triple H.

On top of all this, several legendary names from the past will also be appearing on RAW Monday night. Scheduled to appear are “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim, Superstar Billy Graham, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Harley Race, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Chief Jay Strongbow, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff and Koko B. Ware.

Don’t miss an action packed three-hour extravaganza when RAW returns to USA Monday night at 7:55 p.m. ET.

Video package with everybody talking about the history of RAW kills about four minutes.

Big intro opens us up.

LIVE from Dallas, TX
Hosts are Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross, & Johnathan Coachman

Piper’s Pit kicks us off right to start, as Foley makes his return to RAW. Piper isn’t in the ring however, as Mick grabs a mic and says that he’s back home. He of course gets the cheap pop, and introduces Piper himself to a great pop. Rowdy first compliments Mick by saying that he’s totally nuts, and gets right straight to the question – when will Mick wrestle again? Foley says that he came back last year, he never fealt better, and still got his ass kicked. Fans chant Foley, when Randy Orton interrupts. Mick cuts the music, and tells Orton he should be worried about the Undertaker. Randy addresses why he’s out here, as he wants to talk to Roddy Piper. Rowdy starts to compliment Orton, when Randy tells him to shut his mouth. He says that if it weren’t for his dad, there wouldn’t be a Piper’s pit. Bob got nothing, while Piper got fame. Randy pushes Roddy, causing the two to brawl. Foley and Bob seperate the two, when Cowboy sucker punches Foley, and Randy RKOs Piper. RKO to Foley as well, as Randy and his dad leave the ring.

Shawn kicks Kurt off with 17 seconds left, but Angle goes back to it. Shawn quickly rolls through this time, and hits the Sweet Chin Music again! The ref goes to count, but time runs out.

Afterwards, Michaels wants sudden death, but Kurt wont have it. Good match anyway.

Backstage, Bischoff pleads for his match to be no-DQ, but McMahon wont have it. Eric complains that the only reason he is the RAW GM is so that Vince can embarrass him, and calls McMahon sick. Vince agrees.

Out in the ring, Lillian introduces Vince McMahon to quite a plethora of compliments. Vince says that it’s good to be home, as this is where he beat the holy hell out of Stone Cold back in ’99. McMahon even shows the footage, and says that it’s one of his favorite moments. Vince cues the arresting moment, but instead gets Stone Cold himself to a large pop. Austin says that he remembers things a little differently, and shows the footage of McMahon getting his ass kicked in the hospital. The BANG 3:16 moment gets shown as well, and Steve asks if Vince is about to piss his pants again. Finally, the beer bash gets shown, and Vince isn’t looking pleased. McMahon asks to start things off on a new foot, but the fans think Vince is full of crap. McMahon looks to go to the back, but Austin wants to show him something. That something is the middle finger, and a Stone Cold Stunner follows. Austin puts down some cold ones, when Shane McMahon jives out. He gets Stunned as well. Steve finally looks to be done, when Stephanie makes her TV return. She tells Austin that he can’t do that on their show, and starts to put her hand on Steve’s arm. Austin thinks she’s flirting and asks for a kiss. He gets a slap instead, so Stephanie eats Stunner. Things finally look to be over, when Linda walks out to complete the reunion. She asks why Austin did all this, and apparently they’re all pieces of trash. Linda wants an apology, and she gets it. Steve wants a kiss, but changes his mind and settles for a beer. Stone Cold Stunner follows.

Commercial break.

Backstage, Vince promises that somebody will get fired over what just happened.

Edge sets up the ladder on the 2nd turnbuckle and vertical suplexes Hardy onto it. Ow. The two fight over the ladder for a while, but Edge sets it up on the top turnbuckle. Matt goes for the Twist, but Edge pushes him off, causing him to go face first into the ladder! Edge gets another ladder and climbs it, but Matt fights him in the corner and hits him with the ladder.
