So we are now a few months away from finding out that Jason Todd is seemingly still alive. The novelty of that story is gone. So what are we left with?

A still very good story.

Writer Judd Winick is letting this story linger on for a long time. He’s taking his time with it, but not wasting any time at all. Unlike some other extended arcs, something happens every month here, and it both deepens the mystery and brings us closer to the truth.

What we have this month is an issue that delves into the past of Jason Todd, and we see why Batman needed another Robin after Dick Grayson left him. We learn about the kind of person Jason Todd was, about his strengths, as well as his weaknesses as Batman’s partner.

We also get forward motion on the mystery behind it all. Turns out (of course) that all may not be as simple as it seems. There is a nice twist right at the end that will leave you wanting for (much) more.

Not much else to say about this issue. This just another great issue from a very solid team. This is by far my favorite Batman book on sale right now, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
