Archive

– Simon Dean broke his hand during last week’s Velocity tapings while punching the mat, and came to this week’s tapings in a cast, but still appeared in a segment that will write the injury into the storyline and WILL be wrestling Bobby Lashley this weekend at No Mercy.

– According to Florida paper The Palatka Daily News, Michelle McCool was hospitalized for over a week due to a bad reaction to medication. She’s currently down in Deep South Wrestling (which has recently launched a Web site) working on training and toning down her southern accent.

– Also relating to DSW, according to PWInsider.com, Bill Behrens has left the promotion going back a few weeks due to internal conflicts with owner Jody Hamilton and trainer Bill DeMott. Additionally, due to a delayed start, Behrens didn’t have much of a role, while he supposedly was brought in to handle TV and house show duties after closing dowin his NWA Wildside promotion. Behrens may also have had heat due to being an agent for TNA stars AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, and he may look to return to TNA at some point, but that nonwithstanding, he’s under WWE contract until January 2006.
