Dawn began her career in comics after a fateful meeting with Batman creator Bob Kane on the set of the film Batman & Robin in 1996. After many years working on movies as a set designer, Dawn was inspired to start developing stories of her own and comics were the way they should be told. In 1998, she won the Xeric grant for her debut mini-series, “Little Red Hot”. Another “Little Red Hot” series on 2001 led to a turn illustrating “Vampirella”. She continues to design movie sets for Hollywood productions including Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
