[TNA] NWA Tag Titles Change Hands TWICE This Weekend & More

Archive

– The following matches are planned for tomorrow’s iMPACT! tapings in Florida:

Christopher Daniels in an “Ironman Challenge” against three opponents chosen by AJ Styles

Matt Bentley vs. David Young

Sabu vs. Rhino

Monty Brown, Jeff Jarrett, America’s Most Wanted, Gail Kim, The Naturals, Abyss and Jeff Hardy in attendance

– In an interesting note about how Spike TV is taking an interest in TNA, they edited the Jarrett/Tito Ortiz segment down to make it flow better and not run too long.

– Jushin Liger and Tito Ortiz may take part in TNA programming after Bound for Glory, either in post-show angles or more. Liger will be at the 10/25 TV taping and Ortiz has yet to sign with Pride or UFC, so things are up in the air.

– NWA Tag Team Champions The Naturals lost the belts on 10/7 in Nashville, TN, only to regain them the next day. The belts were held up during a match with Cassidy Riley and Eric Young; The Naturals won them back in a streetfight. This won’t likely be mentioned on TNA TV.

– Many TNA wrestlers worked the WSW tour in Australia this weekend, and the Samoa Joe vs. Test matches have been getting great praise. Test has been backstage at TNA here and there since being cleared to wrestle, but there has been no word over whether or not he’ll be signed.
