The RAW Events
— Ahhh, vacation never felt so good! I think I’m ready for another go around here, so hopefully things start to go smoothly with work and school and maybe RAW tonight will start things off on the right foot. My only regret was that I wasn’t there at least one more day extra (I mean when your at the beach and just watched your favorite college team trounce Arizona, who wouldn’t want to leave?!) because the Angels got game 5 in Anaheim against the Yankees, either way should be a good one. But hey, we get what we can take right!

Live: Corpus Christi, Tx.

— New opening WWE video debuts with a new motto of “The Power is Back.”
— And the Austin ‘stunfest’ over the McMahon’s last week.

The MAIN Events
– Doink vs. Rob Conway
Doink the clown!? Lots of back and forth pinning combos start the match until Conway finally takes of the shades that results in Doink doing a lot of “clownish” activities. Rob fires back and starts to stomp on the clown and ties him up in the corner. Neck breaker followed by a whip to the rope which gets the ego- trip not that long after for the win. Even though the match is over, it still gets worse as Eugene comes out and tries to make the save, but fails miserably.
Winner: Rob Conway (2)

– Chris Masters vs. Tajiri
Thankfully Tajiri interrupts Masters’ entrance which is way too long by the way and gets the early advantage. Tajiri using those quick feet gets in a few kicks and even locks in the tarantula at the far end as it’s been all Tajiri in the early going. But out of nowhere the master lock is applied and Masters continues to get the unnecessary push.
Winner: Chris Masters (3)

– Trish Stratus vs. Victoria
Not much to this match, decent one at least for the women’s title as Trish retains that belt. The interesting note of this match is the ending where Victoria starts to whale on Trish after the bell but is saved by a mystery girl and do I even have to say it? The new girl is HOT!
Winner: Trish Stratus (4)

– Carlito, Kurt Angle & Edge vs. Shawn Michaels, Big Show & John Cena
Cena starts match against Carlito and doesn’t go well for the cabana man as Cena takes charge and tags in the Big Show. Show then tosses Carlito to the corner and slaps him hard across the chest for good measure. Edge and Angle try to help out but get the short end of the stick, with both of them getting whipped into the near left corner along with Carlito who get sandwich by a running Show before going to break. Back from commercial Angle and Cena are in center ring with Kurt getting the upper hand and tying Cena up in the opposing corner as Edge taps in and stomps away. Cena finally gets the tag into HBK who swings momentum, shooting down Carlito with a few clotheslines and goes up top, nailing the elbow drop. Shawn starts to tune up the band but is blocked by a Angle clothesline that allows Carlito to get 2! Angle goes in and starts to work HBK in the corner getting back momentum for his team. Suplex gets 2! On the outside, Edge hits a spear on HBK right before another commercial break! Back in, HBK still is the legal man and gets another suplex from Angle for his troubles. Carlito is tagged in as HBK gets some advantage back but is stopped quickly as he misses the spear on Carlito in the corner and rams his shoulder into the turnbuckle. After a long headlock, HBK gets a suplex in to break up the move and gets the tag into the Big Show who immediately starts to clean house and double clotheslines Angle and Edge. Cena comes in to pick up the pieces and hits the five- knuckle shuffle on Angle for 2! But Angle gets the ankle lock on Cena but is countered into Cena’s own Ankle lock which seems to have the win. But is reversed into a roll- up which gets the clean pin for the win.
Winner: Carlito, Kurt Angle & Edge (1)

Quick HEAT

— Just to make sure we get things going “properly” (feel the sarcasm) we are blessed with the presence of Stephanie McMahon. She goes over how Austin messed up everything at last weeks homecoming and how she was voted the favorite McMahon to get stunned over on wwe.com. And somewhere along the line she says something that she’s a man!? Huh, go figure. Must be that time of month.

— Video Re-cap: Raw last week of the Ric Flair beat down courtesy of HHH.

— Carlito’s Cabana: Carlito kisses up to Stephanie and the McMahon’s just to make sure he’s on the good side. But that’s beside the point as Carlito wonders who’s the #1 contender for the WWE Title. Angle and HBK guest star on the show as they rant back and forth over last week’s match and the #1 contendership. Big Show interrupts the process as the 3rd guest of the night. BUT Edge comes out as well with briefcase still in hand. I wonder where this is headed to? Carlito finally breaks back into his own show saying that he should be the #1 contender prompting the real champ to come out. Cena actually pulls out a funny promo on every single guy in the ring.

— HHH shows up backstage and gets the dirty look from pretty much everyone backstage including some stops by HBK and the Big Show saying what he did last week was too much and that HHH will eventually get his. His journey to the locker room ends with a face to face with John Cena who lets him know when every HHH wants some to come get some. Let’s just hope that doesn’t happen anytime soon.

— Hey more HHH stuff as he makes his way down to the ring after break. He goes after the Raw superstars backstage for getting into his personal business with Ric Flair. HHH mentions how he looked up to Flair and everything in between, but saw that it was finally his time and took the horse to the back and put the bullet in his head.

— Mickey James, Stratus’ mystery helper, introduces herself backstage as one of the newest Raw Diva’s and also one of Stratus’ biggest fans. Hmm, I think this could be a stalker case!

— Kane returns next Monday.

— Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring to announce who’s going to get fired. But before he does that, he gives his explanation to why he’s gonna fire someone due to Austin’s behavior of last week. But it won’t be Austin because Vince can’t really blame him, but there is someone who he wants to blame- every single one of us! And wants to fire us, however he feels that there were three people in particular that were close to the action of what happened, calling out all three announcers of Raw. Vince demands an apology from all three announcers which he gets. But really doesn’t think JR’s apology wasn’t that good enough (as he only apologizes for Linda’s stunner), so he wants JR to apologize to his children. Stephanie comes out, and before Shane can, Linda makes her way down to the ring. And in a surprising move, Linda FIRES JR!?!? And to top off the surprise, Linda kicks him right in the balls to end the show! LOL!!

RAW Analysis
— I have to say, a very, very, VERY lackluster show match wise as we’re two matches short compared to last weeks (even though I have to consider that last week’s was 3 hours long) but even though, the matches that were given were stale, for the exception of the main EVENT. And storyline progress didn’t grow much as the show was mainly centered on HHH/ Flair and McMahon/ Firing segments. The last half hour was the only thing really worth catching, even though it wasn’t really anything great. Not that I didn’t expect JR to be fired, but how the way he was fired what was surprising and pretty funny actually! To bad it wasn’t King getting the “ax”… sigh. Oh well huh, better luck next week. Till then, better get back with unpacking my luggage, real life starts all over again tomorrow, but its all good, things will change. And keep on sending me any feedback, I’m always here for the open ear to improve. Peace!
