What began as a muddled and confusing story has turned into a pretty excellent outing. This mini-series felt like the New Teen Titans books of old, in that you feel like you get more bang for your buck. Both Phil Jimenez, the writer, and José Luis Garcia-Lopez, the penciller, have artistic styles very similar to that of inker George Pérez, who drew New Teen Titans back in the day. So, Jimenez knows that he can cram a LOT of material onto each page and his art team will be able to handle it.

This was a series that truly felt “epic,” and that was no more evident than in this final issue. The Teen Titans and Outsiders finally do battle with the Titans of Myth, narrated by Donna Troy. The battle is absolutely amazing, and you really get the feeling that this is “big.” Also, Donna’s role in the Crisis is finally revealed, and her murky continuity is finally cleared up. Everything is pulling together, and I think we’re in for a hell of a ride!
