Looking Ahead

Hello there, and welcome to the first edition of ‘Looking Ahead’, a new weekly column here on this very sexy web site known as Inside Pulse.

The main bulk of this column will be focusing on the nearest WWE Pay Per View, with all the latest news, rumours, match line ups, etc along with any other information I can lay my hands on.

This week I’ll be writing about Taboo Tuesday, and what matches and stipulations I think might happen, as well as news about Survivor Series.

Why WWE? Why not TNA or ROH?

“Why not look ahead to a TNA or ROH Pay Per View?” I hear you cry. Well, I’ll tell you.

The WWE PPV’s are easier to get hold off in the U.K. for a start. Most WWE PPV’s are broadcast for free on Sky Television, where as both TNA and ROH PPV’s are shown a few months behind schedule, so there’s not much point in focusing on them.

The Nearest WWE PPV

TABOO TUESDAY (RAW)
Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005
iPayOne Center, San Diego, CA

Latest News / Rumors

Fuck all about Taboo Tuesday, although there’s a good chunk of news about Survivor Series.

“Local ads ran in Detroit during last night’s RAW, for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV taking place in the city. They listed these matches:

-The Undertaker returns in a Buried Alive match vs. Randy Orton
-Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero for the World Heavyweight Title
-Shawn Michaels & Team RAW vs. JBL & Team Smackdown in a fight for “WWE Supremacy”
-Kurt Angle vs. John Cena for the WWE Title
-Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long

A UK advertisement lists the following…

Team RAW:
HBK, Carlito, Big Show, Shelton Benjamin and Chris Masters

Team Smackdown: JBL, Rey Mysterio, Ken Kennedy, Chris Benoit and Christian”

The 5 vs. 5 tag match will be very interesting to watch. Will both teams co-exist with people they would normally be facing, and pull together to get the win for their brand? Or will they eventually snap and start attacking each other, refusing to tag in or to help each other, etc? Lots of interesting situations could happen here, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

It’s interesting to notice that neither Edge nor Kane are mentioned, which leads me to believe that Kane will attack Edge when he returns on Raw, leading up to a blow-off match at Survivor Series, possibly for the Money in the Bank shot.

The Buried Alive match will probably suck, although I’m optimistic about it, as I’d like to see both Bob & Randy Orton get thrown in the same grave.

The Card So Far

Naff All Announced for Taboo Tuesday and nothing official for Survivor Series either. We’ll see what Raw brings us, if anything.

The Score

Looking Ahead PPV Score: /10

(Too early to tell, with no matches being announced yet)

PPV Predictions

Here’s my list of matches that I’m thinking might just happen, along with the type of match and the Taboo Tuesday Stipulations.

John Cena (c) vs. Kurt Angle
Stipulation: Fans Choose Type of Match (Cage, Falls Count Anywhere, Submission)

Ric Flair vs. ?
Stipulation: Fans Choose Opponent (Triple H will walk this…)

Tag Team Match
Stipulation: Fans Choose Tag Teams (Edge & Carlito vs HBK & Big Show, Edge & HBK vs. Carltio & Big Show, Edge & Big Show vs. Carlito & HBK)

Trish, Ashley & Micke James vs. Victoria, Torrie & Candice
Stipulation: Fans Choose Type of Outfit (School Girl, French Maid, Cowgirl)

Cade & Murdoch vs. The Superheroes vs. The Heart Throbs vs. Val Venis & Viscera
Stipulation: Fans Choose Type of Match (Tables, Ladder, Submission)

Chris Masters Masterlock Challenge
Stipulation: Fans Choose Opponent (I’d have Kane win this group, if he makes his comeback by attacking Masters on Raw tonight)

Eugene vs. Rob Conway
Stipulation: Fans Choose What Happens to the Loser (Shaved Bald, Wear a Dress, Be Servant)

Yeah, some of them are taken from last years PPV, but let’s be honest here, knowing how ‘creative’ the WWE Creative Team are, I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the stipulations from last year were used again this year.
