The RAW Events
— We are here once again and as I check this Colts are surprisingly on the ropes right now against the Rams, what the hell!?!?! Not a good weekend thus far for the Manning’s, and if that’s not a given every weekend, my hopes aren’t staying up high for Raw tonight. Expected backlash from the JR firing is probably on top of tonight’s list (thank goodness no more three- peat sayings on the show) which only means more McMahon madness (sorry, as you can tell, my mind is on football right now) as the Bischoff/ Cena feud takes backseat to the real worker vs. boss scene Austin vs. McMahon 2005. So, down- set- HUT!

Live: Sacramento, Ca.

— Recap of JR’s firing

The MAIN Events
– Edge w/ Lita vs. Big Show (Taboo Tuesday Qualifying Match)
Big Show flexes his uh… muscles to toss out Edge of the ring to start things off, which only gets followed up with more bumping around for Edge. Back from break, Show still in charge of the match as he quiets the crowd to get the loud slap across the chest. Then on the outside, Edge smartly uses the steel chairs to knock Show down and bring him in the ring for the arm bar. Work starts to steadily work on the right arm of the Big Show and nails a DDT for 2! Chokeslam misses on Edge and Show gets rammed into the turnbuckle to give the opportunity for Edge to hit the spear for… 2!? Briefcase in the ring, but JBL’s music hits? And with the distraction, Big Show picks up the win.
Winner: Big Show (2)

– Shawn Michaels vs. Carlito (Taboo Tuesday Qualifying Match)
Carlito doesn’t waste anytime in kicking the match off, cutting off Shawn from making his entrance down to the ring. And Sideshow Bob looks like he’s serious tonight as he knocks HBK around to the corners with a few slaps and slams. More controlling on the far left corner as Shawn finally fights out into a reversal but gets whipped hard into the corner for 2! And then we get treated to the usual- headlock into momentum shift for the face, before Carlito delivers a solid shot to the face to knock HBK back down to the mat for 2! Surprisingly enough, Carlito has stayed in charge for most of the match and just before I think that, he tries a cross body drop off the top and gets reversed for 2! Shawn now moves into the drivers seat and his first ‘real’ offense starts to go. Carlito however gets things straightened out as he starts to move his focus onto the mid- section of HBK. And now after the break, the match has seemed to now go to a back and forth one as the offense switches sides every now and then. After a crash into the corner, HBK shoots Carlito down with a few clotheslines and the flying elbow drop as the band starts to tune up. Superkick- reversal- 2 count for Carlito! With the ref out, Carlito brings in the chair but is sweet chinned into his face for the 3!
Winner: Shawn Michaels (1)

– Torrie Wilson, Candace Michelle & Victoria vs. Trish Stratus, Ashley & Mickey James
The only two “real” wrestlers (other than the newcomer Mickey) Trish and Victoria start the match before Mickey gets in the ring and tries to clean house with a few top rope moves. And suddenly ends as Victoria rolls up Mickey and gets the pin. Side note: Torrie, Michelle, and Ashley never made it into the ring. Go figure huh!?
Winner: Torrie Wilson, Candace Michelle & Victoria (4)

Quick HEAT
— Vince starts the show off for us as he welcomes us to Raw and pitches the Taboo Tuesday PPV. And also lets us know that Stone Cold might be on his way to Sacramento tonight. But just to show how nice he is and how much JR meant and did to the company, he put together a video package of JR which… was just to mock him of course of all his lousiest moments. Good stuff. Vince introduces the new Raw head announcer, “The good ‘ol Coach” Jonathan Coachman who of course sucks up to the boss man and makes fun of JR himself.

— Kurt shows up backstage and wants to know what’s going on with the #1 Contender spot with Vince McMahon. But is interrupted by the Hurricane who gets made fun of his late sound effects, on why JR was fired. And just like a lap dog, Vince ‘sicks’ Angle on the Hurricane who starts to get his ass kicked all the way out to the ring. By the way, Coach is going solo on the mic trying to do his best JR imitation.

— Vince talks to Eric Bischoff in what’s in store for the main event for Taboo Tuesday, which will be a triple threat match.

— Carlito’s Cabana w/ Mick Foley: Usual Mick Foley stuff to begin the Cabana before the two start to feud off against each other. And just at Carlito reaches for an apple, Foley stops him short of spitting the apple in his face and tells his he wonders if he could produce against HBK tonight.

— Post- HBK match: Ric Flair makes his way down to the ring, shaking HBK’s hand, but strutting never the less. Once back from the break, Flair is already talking how HHH took it upon himself to retire. BUT, Flair is back on the happy pills as the coat comes off and he lets us know that there’s a new fire burning in him. And sure enough, Flair does loose it, ripping off his bandage from his forehead and covers his face in a crimson mask as blood upon BLOOD keeps on flowing down off his face… isn’t Halloween a few more weeks away? HHH finally comes out but is chased off as Flair pulls out a bat from under the ring and follows him backstage.

— Maria tries to interview Carlito, but snatches the mic away and blames Foley for the loss against HBK and challenges him to a math for Taboo Tuesday.

— Vintage Stone Cold suddenly rolls into Raw after the Diva match with the truck in toll smashing up against the ring! Austin lets us know how he’s given everything he could to this company for the last ten years and also how JR has been his only friend while he’s been here. And calls out Vince to take care of some business that needs to be said, but we get Stephanie instead who looks like she’s about to fall out of her blouse. They argue about why JR is fired and Austin ask the crowd if they think Steph deserves a spanking. But before he can, Coach gets involved in the middle and tells Austin to leave the arena now. So Stephanie proposes if Stone Cold takes on Coach at Taboo Tuesday and wins, JR gets his job back. Which is agreed upon only after Stephanie lets Austin knows if he loses, Stone Cold will be fired.

— Stone Cold doesn’t leave things empty handed though as he marches up to the announcers booth and starts to pick on The Coach by breaking his glasses and ripping his shirt. And while Coach passes on the free shot Austin gave him, Stone Cold pours some beer into Coach’s hat and puts it back on giving him the bird on the way out.

— Bischoff announces the matches for Taboo Tuesday that are already set before the battle royal. And Cena makes his debut for the night at the announcers table, with Kane returning to the battle royal.

RAW Analysis
— More decent than last week’s show but doesn’t mean it was back up to par. The show felt fast and slow all at the same time if that makes any sense. And the meat of it was taken up by the HBK/ Carlito match that held on for a while. With once again to top things off, the matches itself not doing much to enhance the show and the main EVENT well was just… a battle royal. And what was the deal with the no-show Cena too? Obviously tonight was just to enhance Taboo Tuesday and the goal was meet, but otherwise it was just ‘there’. With not much else, how bout that Norte Dame/ USC game!?!?! Lienhart and Bush have to be the top Heisman candidates after that game of the year. Well, Trojans stay undefeated, and UTEP takes care of stuff in their end against Tulane Friday night on ESPN to stay with just one loss on the season in C-USA. Oh and since I got the time, anybody on the ball with Philosophy and Political Science hit me up puleezzeee, cuz I got two mid- terms coming up this week and… damn! I need all the help I can get. Well I’m out, wish me luck, Peace!
