This is the first of three issues in this mini-series about a serial killer in Gotham’s suburbs. Batman rarely ventures into the sprawl, because it doesn’t really suit his style. The nature of these murders, however, got him to take the case. So, Batman does his detective work and manages to find the killer and chase him down. The killer, however, manages to best Batman, and…well, I can’t give it away, but right around the end of the book, it appeared that the whole story would be wrapped up, and I was confused. After all, this is a three-part story. I should have known where it was going, based on who the artist and writer are, but apparently I’m a moron. Anyway, I’ll pick up the rest of this series just to see where they’re going with it, although I don’t usually like when the Batbooks go in “this” direction (yes, you’ll have to read the book to know what that means).
