This issue feels very much like a story from an Annual or Secret Files issue. I do not mean that as an insult at all. I have a more than mild addiction to these kind of inventory tales that look back and reveal facts that you probably did not even know you wanted to know in the first place. Judging by those standards, this is a neat little self-contained ditty. In comparison to the full run of the book, this is not as good as most of it. Again though, it is still enjoyable for what it is.

A big part of the appeal of these sorts of things is typically watching other artists take a shot at the title. This time is no exception as we get guest artists a-plenty. The best is probably Stephen Sadowski and Andrew Pepoy’s work on the Suit section of the book which nicely meshes with Javier Pina’s bookends. The worst, oddly enough, is the package deal of Rags Morales, Bob Petrecca, and Shawn Martinbrough, who relay the story of Kate’s (now busted up) staff. It is odd because, while I am not familiar with Petrecca, I have a great deal of affection for both Morales and Martinbrough’s previous work. They just did not seem to bring their A-game to this affair.
