PENGUINS win! Penguins win! Penguins win! First game of the season! Although, it coming off of the team with the least points in the NHL doesn’t really account for much… but a win is a win and it builds confidence!

So much confidence that we lost 5-3 tonight. Oh well, take what ya get.

– By the way, anyone catch the latest Rolling Stone issue? I know a Bono interview is a big deal, and it was well worth the cover story and main story, but damn the rest of the issues seem to be getting dull and repetitive. I almost wish I hadn’t continued my last subscription.

– So a lot of people are saying that the World Series was blown. Being a Pirates fan who are in the National League Central, I was rooting for Chicago for the sole purpose of not wanting the Astros to win it since they are in my division. People are pointing fingers at commisioner Buddy S, saying all the blown calls that went in favor of the White Sox were his because he think the people would rather see the American League win the WS. What the hell do we have the all-star game for then? I was a little shaky on the Houston opening up their stadium. I that was was bull, but I certainly don’t think the World Series was rigged.

“Mark, I miss the days of the TNA Wednesday Night PPV. That was a time where TNA produed great shows week after week because they knew people were paying to watch it, albe it $10.00 a night and it broke out budgets. The quality just seemed so much better, I’m not at all saying Impact is a bad show or anything of that degree, but when TNA made the financial switch to FSN and worked with the hour time slot it just seemed like the “spirit” per se for lack of a better term of TNA kind of died down. Sure, it’s concept, but it just seemed like TNA went from producing PPVs every week to 2-minute spotty matches. Take for instance the Wednesday show with the gauntlet main event and first ever Ultimate X.”

Damien

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I despised FSN Impact. While I do miss the Wednesday Night PPVs, I would never be able to afford them.
