Also, Roddy Piper and Mickie James were guests on tonight’s ByteThis!, which features a brand new, slick looking set. At the beginning of the show, Todd Grisham hinted that Joey Styles would be back, saying that he thought he did a good job after getting off to a shaky start. Some other highlights:
– Todd and Piper talk about the history of Wrestlemania.
– Todd gets Piper to shoot on Cowboy Bob Orton, his slow-healing arm, and his career.
– Piper says his favorite guest on Piper’s Pit was Frankie Williams.
– In answering a question about Smackdown, Piper puts over Batista, Eddie Guerrero and the whole WWE roster as being one of the classiest ever.
– He answers a question about the injuries he’s had over the years. But the “hardest injuries” are getting your heart broken, feelings hurt.
– Todd did a Scottish accent, then introduced Mickie James.
– Mickie talks about how excited she is to be there side by side with Trish Stratus and pretty much stays in character.
– She talks about how great a job being a WWE Diva is, and for aspiring wrestlers to find a good school to train at, etc.
– In response to a question about locker-room acceptance, she says it’s been great, although “I don’t think Victoria likes me.”
– She talks about her pet ferrets Roscoe and Boss Hog, and her pet horses.
– Todd talks about Christian quitting and reads from his initial statement; ditto Torrie Wilson NOT being fired. He answers a caller and says Christian may have been frustrated, but probably left mostly to rest his body and try other things.
– Todd answers another caller and says Torrie is the most beautiful Diva on the inside, Candice on the outside.
– They show footage of Todd as Harry Carey. He says Vince gave him one chance to do it, then liked it so much, and let him do the impersonation the whole night.
– Todd says if you have any pictures of yourself dressed up as WWE Superstars, send them to bytethis (at) wwe (dot) com and they may post ’em.
– Todd says Stone Cold is injured, they don’t know how bad. This was in response to a question about Austin/Hogan or even Foley/Hogan at Mania 22.
– Todd says his favorite wrestler in WWE is Viscera.
– They close the show with a pimp for the Jake Roberts DVD.
