According to PWInsider.com, the story going around WWE this week was that Steve Austin indeed has an injured back, which he hurt at home over the weekend. Many feel, however, that this is merely an excuse since Austin wasn’t thrilled to be scheduled to job to Coach at Taboo Tuesday, nor was he happy with the Jim Ross situation, which remains undecided.
On WWE’s corporate 10K report, JR is signed through October 29, 2006 as a “senior advisor” to WWE, but sources have told PWInsider.com that his on-air contract is up in a few months.
