Looking Ahead
Hello there, and welcome to the fourth edition of ‘Looking Ahead’.

In this week’s edition, I natter about, among other things, the build up (so far) of Survivor Series, Taboo Tuesday thoughts, Christian, “Smackdown Live from the U.K.” and anything else that wanders into my brain.

Let’s kick off with some thoughts about Taboo Tuesday.

Looking Back On: Taboo Tuesday

Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio vs. Snitsky & Chris Masters

Good match to kick off the show with although I’m totally gutted Christian didn’t get voted in. I CALL FOR A RE-COUNT!

Just like in my EWR game, Hardy & Mysterio (Version: 619) look like they would make a good tag team. I loved the 619 into the Twist of Fate into the Springboard Splash spot.

Eugene & Jimmy Snuka vs. Conway & Tomko

Kill the retard already. Liked the work Conway did though, and was slightly impressed with Tomko. I wanted to see the ‘Hacksaw’ make his return though.

Mankind vs. Carlito

I could NOT get into this match at all. I liked the fact that Foley did the old Mankind stuff (pulling out the hair, rocking back and forth, etc) but I’d have liked to have seen him wear the brown suit rather than the shirt. Also the wrong man won.

Kane & Big Show vs. Cade & Murdoch

I don’t know why, but I like the team of Cade & Murdoch. It’s a gimmick we’ve not seen in the WWE for a while, so it appears, at least to me, as semi-fresh. Why they put tag straps on Kane & Big Show is beyond me, as I think C&M were on roll. If C&M would have won, it would have given them a very welcomed credibility boost, and would have made the Kane-Big Show feud happen quicker than it will now (it will happen sooner or later, trust me).

Batista vs. The Coach w/ Vader & Goldust

That Fat Fuck Vader ruined this match for me. When the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION of the company that’s just hired your fat, old ass wants to give you a spine-buster, you JUMP you fat f*ck!

What the hell is Vince thinking…

Diva Battle Royal

Glad they left Trish & Victoria to do most of the wrestling in this, and let the others just ‘wendy about’ giving shitty kicks and choking each other out.

Mickie James has a pretty nice arse too. Not too sure about the face though. But as they say, you don’t look at the mantelpiece when your poking the fire.

Ric Flair vs. Triple H

What a match.

It’s not the MOTY, but it’s definitely in the Top 5 for the WWE. Classic old-school match. Flair needs to drop the IC title though, as it’s wasted on him now.

John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. HBK

The best thing about this match: Kurt Angle

The 2nd best thing about this match: HBK

The 3rd best thing about this match: The Crowd chanting TAP, TAP, TAP to Cena.

Good match to cap off a pretty poor PPV.

The Card So Far

Raw vs. Smackdown! 5-on-5 Elimination Match

Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long

The Score

Looking Ahead PPV Score: 2/10

With just under a month left until Survivor Series, the build up is pretty interesting so far. It will be good to see how the WWE announces the competitors of the 5 vs. 5 Elimination match. Will they announce one person each week? Will they hold qualifying matches to see who will get a place on the respective teams? Only time will tell.

Not looking forward to the Bisch-Long match at all. Unless the looser has to leave or something. I’d also like to see Bischoff take control of Smackdown! Would freshen things up in my opinion.

PPV Predictions

There’s a number of people who could be in the 5 vs. 5 elimination match, however the following are who I think will be the participants:

Team Smackdown: Rey Mysterio, Matt Hardy, JBL, Hardcore Holly, Ken Kennedy

Team Raw: Edge, Masters, Snitsky, Carlito, Tomko

Also, World Title matches are obviously going to be on the card, so John Cena vs. Kurt Angle also looks likely to be added, hopefully with Angle picking up the win.

Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero is also pretty much sealed.

With the recent “demise” of The Undertaker, Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker will likely happen, once the Deadman returns shortly.

Booker T vs. Chris Benoit for the US title would be a good addition to the card too, along with a Tag Match for one or maybe even both Tag Title belts.

That’s all she wrote for this week, as I’ve had to go into work early, and need to get this posted ASAP!

Thanks for reading.
