R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero

As I’m sure you are all aware of by now from the tabloids, this morning Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Wow… I was totally floored when I woke up this morning to that news. There is just so much to be said about one of the few people on the WWE roster who had a real passion for wrestling and who was truly one of those wrestlers who had the most heart when stepping into a wrestling ring, like he showed time and time again in his ilustrious career. My respect level for Eddie is so high I could not even express it in one single column. This was a terrible loss for anyone associated with professional wrestling as well as the fans who respected him for his work.

Please take the time to read Eric S’s special Short-Form column on the tragic death of Eddie, as well as Carlos Zarur’s tribute to Eddie as a hometown fan in El Paso in the returning Sunday Night HEAT Wave, and other specials here on the Pulse.

On behalf of all of us here at InsidePulse, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Guerrero family and friends.

– Thanks to everyone who answered last week’s trivia question.

– Keith Moon was the drummer for The Who, as all of you who wrote in should know since everyone was correct.

I am not going to recap Velocity this week due to obvious reasons that have got me in an emotional mood not wanting to watch wrestling at the moment. I may go back to the archives and recap it later, but until then here are the results:

Opening Contest: Legion of Doom 2k2 def. Nunzio & Vito via Doomsday Device on Nunzio

2nd Match: Bob Holly def. Simon Dean via Alabama Slam

3rd Match: Kid Kash (undefeated) def. Scotty 2 Hotty via Moonsault

Main Event: Paul London & Brian Kendrick def. William Regal & Paul Burchill via dueling dropkicks

End of show.

Once again, thanks for the memories Eddy, and rest in peace.
