The Torch is speculating that with New Japan’s sale to Yukes – a company that has worked with WWE in the past on video games and Japanese tours – will open the door to possible Japan-based WWE vs. TNA match-ups, since NJPW currently has a trade agreement with NWA to use TNA’s contracted wrestlers. Simon Inoki so far remains New Japan’s president, despite no longer having a controlling ownership interest in the promotion.
