On the Chicago White Sox Web site, it notes that “Without giving away any of the plot, don’t look for [A.J.] Pierzynski to take any bumps, bruises or falls during the show.”
According to PWInsider.com, in the segment taped for the 12/8 iMPACT! special, featuring the White Sox catcher as well as Dale Torborg (now with the Sox, but formerly WCW’s “Kiss Demon”), it was announced that at Turning Point it will be Sonjay Dutt & Chris Sabin & Torborg vs. The Diamonds in the Rough in a “Basebrawl match” with WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan doing commentary for the bout. Heenan also appeared at tonight’s tapings.
Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that tonight’s shows had to be rewritten due to a miscommunication with Team 3-D who is now in Japan for the All Japan Real World Tag League tournament.
