Byte This Report
Nov. 30 2005

Hosted by: Todd “Pettengill” Grisham

The Grish welcomes the millions and millions of the Rock’s fans to the show and says that Chavo Guerrero will coming up shortly. He told everyone to make the questions good ones!

The Survivor Series is discussed and Todd gets paid to procliam it being “off the charts!”. He doesn’t think Easy E liked it too much though.

He puts over the TV from this week, saying how hard the WWE crew worked in Stamford.

Raw and Bischoff were 0-3 for the night and Eric even had to job to a lowly former manager of Doom. On Raw Eric had to answer to McMahon. They replay what happened on Raw with Vince and Eric in ring and VKM telling Eric that “if he fails, then Raw fails, and then if Raw fails, it will make Vince looks like a failure!” Who could the new GM be? If they end up firing Eric, I’d love to see Bret Hart come and be the new GM.

Todd talks about Vince telling Shane-O Mac that they’re going to “take out the trash next week.” It should be interesting to see how this all turns out.

A caller asks Todd about the comparisons between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. Todd doesn’t know, they have a similar physique. Brock made his mark in the business by beating some big names. Lashley has yet to do that, he has to beat a Triple H or The Undertaker to be on the level Brock is on.

A caller asks about Raw vs. Smackdown 2006. Todd has yet to play it, but the commercial for is good. Todd wants to try and get a free copy and wants his own character in the game.

The Grish says Survivor Series was a great night for Randy Orton. While he was the Sole Survivor, he also had to face the Undertaker. Shots of the PPV with Randy celebrating are shown, along with the Undertaker coming out of the casket, Orton’s shocked face and a few others.

Orton got payback a couple of nights later on the Smackdown Special and show clips of the incident with Eddie’s lowrider.

A caller asks Todd if the lowrider angle was disrespectful to Eddie? Todd doesn’t think so, no one intended it to be. Todd thinks it would be a good question to ask Chavo.

They show clips from what happened after Smackdown went off the air. Randy being proud of himself for once again taking out the Undertaker and his father Cowboy Bob trying to get him backstage.

Todd says Randy was supposed to be on Byte This, this week, but pussed out. Because that’s exactly what Orton is, a roided out, pretty boy pussy.

A caller asks Todd about Eddie Guerrero. Todd talks about calling matches with him on his DVD. How Eddie always had kind words and would stop to say hello. Everyone is still mourning the loss of Eddie.

Commerical time!

Clips of the Europeon trip the company took last week.

Don’t forget to buy Shawn Michaels ghost written book ASAP! The Kliq is back, baby!

And of course, buy the NEW Smackdown mag, with Divas Stacy, Melina and Christy Hemme on the cover! Masturbatory pleasure for all the 16 year old dudes out there who can’t score a real porno, indeed!

As we return from break, Chavo Guerrero joins the show! Chavito is honored to be on the show.

Todd talks about match on HeAT this week against The Conman Rob Conway, and how Chavo’s life must be really hectic lately. Chavo agrees. Chavo says Eddie’s death has been a huge adjustment for his whole family. “It still feels like it’s not real.” True, that Chavo.

Todd asks Chavo about the Kerwin White gimmick. Chavo says he has given up the Kerwin gimmick, that it was fun for a while, but he is going to embrace his Guerrero heritage now and that he is the Last Warrior for his family.

Chavo does have two sons, and if they want to wrestle it’s alright with him. Chavo wants them to go to college and get degrees, and then he will teach them to work. The kids do want to wrestle and it’s in their blood, so we’ll just have to see what happens. Chavo’s kids will be jobbing to some Orton offspring someday too.

Todd asks Chavo if there is anything people can do to prevent further deaths from occuring…stupid question, really. How about quit mixing the pills with the drinks! He says there are people who have been smoking crak for 15 or 20 years and are fine. That’s you, Mr. NWA Champion! Eddie was in the best shape of his career. He always did his cardio. Chavo said it was just Eddie’s time. God needed him, he called him home.

The Grish asks Chavo about the new drug testing policy and if he supports it. How can the Chong to Eddie’s Cheech honestly answer this one? Chavo says he doesn’t have anything to hide. It will keep people in check. That’s bullshit, they’ll keep getting f*cked up and you know it!

Todd asks Chavo about his favorite moments while teaming with Eddie in Los Guerreros. Chavo says all of the matches were his favorite moments. Every match with Eddie was a dream. Their dream as kids was to be Tag champions together and they achieved that dream in the WWE.

A caller wanted to know Chavo’s favorite Eddie match. He says Eddie had so many, he talks about Rey Rey, Bradshaw, Dean Malenko and Benoit. He learned something from Eddie everytime he was in the ring, he was just great at the craft of wrestling.

Todd talk about Eddie’s tag team with Art Barr. Chavo says Eddie and Art were both big stars in Mexico and Eddie looked up to Art and he had a big influence on him. Eddie learned the Frog Splash from Barr. Chavo will now use that move in honor of Eddie, the same way he did to honor Art Barr.

Caller asked about Eddie’s wife, Vicki. Chavo says she getting by and is mourning her husbands loss. She’s got two daughters to think of, it was a huge loss for the family, but for Vicki, it’s 100X more of a loss.

Todd talks again about Chavo’s match on Heat against Conway. Chavo say’s he back and we should expect a good match and the Guerrerroisms like the Frog Splash and the Shuffle out of him. Basically his new gimmick is Eddie Guerrero re-dux.

Chavo says he is traveling alone now. His friends, like Rey Jr. and Benoit are on Smackdown.

Todd says they don’t want him to go to Smackdown and that he’s happy he’s on Raw. T-Grish thanks Chavito for calling into the show. Chavo says the Guerrero name WILL LIVE ON!

Todd puts Chavo over like Christ reborn.

Break – time for me to catch a quick cigarette.

The Wrestlemania Anthology commerical airs. Dammit, I want that! It’s so expensive, though. Hey WWE! Comp me one of those suckers and I will review the whole thing! Email me, there’s a good chance some one in E-Land is reading this. While your at it, shoot me the Hitman and Jake the Snake sets too!

WWE 24/7 Video On Demand – tie yourself to the sofa and spent the month watching old Bob Backlund matches!

A commercial for next Monday’s Raw teases the firing of Easy E. Bring back Bret!

Todd is back live now and says he forgot to ask Chavo a very important question…so Chavo comes back on via phone again.

He asks Chavo about his thoughts on the E using the lowrider this past week on Smackdown in an angle. The Chavo says…”Know your role and…oh, wait – he actually says he thinks its nice that the WWE involved Eddie in another storyline. “I don’t think it shows any disrespect.” and “If I was fighting The Undertaker, and I had Eddie’s lowrider out there, you better believe I would put the pedal to the metal and run him over.”

Todd thanks him again and says he probably interrupted his dinner. Chavo thanks him back and jokes if he should expect another call from him soon. Todd jokes he might have missed something so just stand by just in case.

Our New Eddie leaves the show. You know when Eddie told Batista a couple of months ago that he had changed, I didn’t expect him to morph into his nephew…

Todd blames the forgetting about the question stuff on the director Chris Chambers.

For a free copy of the Undertakers DVD, “Who did Taker wrestle at the 94 Royal Rumble?”

First caller thinks it was Mankind – nope!

The next caller answers right, and it’s Yokozuna! And Todd must be feeling generous today, because for the Taboo Tuesday DVD, what type of match was it? Caller says a Casket match, which is correct. Jim Cornette was great during this time period.

I miss Jim Cornette – he’d make a badass GM for Raw! Let’s get a grassroots campaign started fellow fans!

Todd then says he’s going to give away a Jake the Snake DVD. Jake is currently trading his for crack. I’m only one short-arm clothesline and DDT combo away from buying this sucker up. I think I live my life to collect professional wrestler career retrospective DVD’s. Help me!

Todd has a long conversation with a caller from Canada and goes over his love of the business and then asks the caller what color shirt he was wearing last week. It was in fact purplish so the caller wins the Roberts DVD.

The Grish puts over Heat and Velocity at wwe.com this week and says that Chavo will return to the ring for the first time since Eddie Tribute match. All of Chavo’s matches from here on out will be tribute matches, I think.

Smackdown tonight on UPN will feature lots of hot action, so don’t miss it! Chris Benoit and William Regal will put on a clinic, the debuting Boogeyman will tear through Simon Dean, Rey Rey and JBL should make for odd bedfellows against the team of Big Show and Kane from Raw and Randy Orton will face Version 1!! All those great matche plus Bobby Lashley, and an ominous return of The Undertaker from the flames of Eddie’s lowrider!

ByteThis! ends with a video package from Survivor Series.

Don’t forget NWA Impact tomorrow night on Spike TV, also! The build to Turning Point is in full swing and Saturday night will see a Four Way x Division match involving Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Austin Aries and Alex Shelley. Plus, Samoa Joe will face The Amazing Red amd appearances by Raven, Zybysko, The Red Rooster, The MONSTER Abyss and Sabu! I hear the promo between Jeff Jarrett and Christian is off the hook, I can’t wait to see it! So Choke on That SlapNuts!

I’ll be back here on Tuesday with my Gospel of Wrestling column and also next Friday with all the latest Grish-isms on Byte This, until you can just BYTE ME!
