Desperate Housewives – Recap – Episode 2-10

Archive

Previously, on Desperate Housewives: The Applewhites’ prisoner is arrested, Susan’s father doesn’t want to get to know her, Gabrielle prepares for war with Sister Mary Bernard, and Bree allows George to die of a drug overdose.

George committed suicide, and a search of his house by local authorities reveals some of Bree’s panties and a blow-up doll made to look like Bree. But Bree is able to keep her dignity despite all of this.

You’re watching Desperate Housewives.

Zach is back on Wisteria Lane, and Paul discovers him and gives him a big ol’ creepy not-the-daddy hug. Zach was in Utah and everything, but figured that Paul would eventually come back home. Zach, however, wants to know who his father really is, but Paul thinks that it could be anyone, since the mother was a junkie from Utah, after all.

Edie drops by to talk about Caleb with Mike and the Applewhites, and it turns out that the police don’t even know yet if he is capable of speaking, so he’s likely in the psych ward right now, as the Applewhites are already scheming a way to get him out.

Meanwhile, an asthmatic (?) badass, Monroe, leaves to “take care” of someone, assumingly Caleb.

The Housewives discuss Rex’s murder, as Bree wanted to relay the story to them before it hit the papers. Andrew’s back, and Bree talks with him in private, only to find out that Andrew hates Bree for bringing George into their home. Oh, and Andrew’s going to invite Justin over for a sleepover. Oh, snap.

Susan’s father drops by for lunch, but quickly grows tired of trying to be a father, eventually agreeing to taking one of Susan’s old pictures before getting back to work.

Lynette talks with Ed about establishing daycare in the office, but Ed can’t get his wife to separate from their youngin’, but Lynette is welcome to give it a try.

Gabrielle charges into church, looking for Carlos, who is getting money envelopes together for a fund-raiser to send relief efforts to Botswana, but Gabrielle missed out on a water massage because of Carlos. Gabrielle blames Sister Mary Bernard for the tension in her marriage, but Carlos thinks that’s ridiculous.

Susan’s father needs to be bailed out after trying to pick up an undercover hooker, complaining he can’t just go home and have sex with his 68-year-old wife. He wants to be off the hook on the whole mother-daughter thing, but Susan wants to meet him for coffee at 2. Susan drives off, but not before Carol gets her driver’s license number written down.

Gabrielle donates $8,000 dollars to the Botswana relief effort to send Sister Mary away from Carlos, as Mary Bernard is aware that the war is underway.

Lynette talks with Ed’s wife about putting Mindy in daycare, if only for a couple hours. But she doesn’t budge, claiming that she wants to be a great mother, not just a good one.

Susan goes outside to get the paper and sees WHORE written on her garage door. Susan’s father confirms that this is the work of Carol, but doesn’t want to admit the truth yet, instead to let Susan catch the heat for being a WHORE, even though she’s not a WHORE.

Sister Mary informs Gabrielle that Carlos has decided to go along with Mary to Botswana, for two months. Gabrielle is shocked, and when Carlos leaves the room, Gabrielle threatens to slap Mary, but the latter knows the former won’t do it.

Lynette and Ed are working late again, and Ed apologizes about the daycare thing, as Lynette suggests that he stand up to Fran, as without a father figure Mindy will become a stripper. So Ed’s on board.

Andrew tells Justin that Bree was going to stop loving him, so he decided to beat her to it. And one day, he’s going to get something to blackmail Bree with and take her down hard.

Ed took the baby while Fran was in the shower, and here comes Fran, threatening to take the baby away to Pittsburgh, until Lynette holds Mindy hostage and tells them to work it out. Fran finally gives into daycare.

Betty arrives at the psych ward, playing piano for a “spiritual outreach” program, with her true intent to break Caleb out.

Susan and Carol have a confrontation in the grocery store, and Susan finally admits to being Addison’s daughter as Carol is shocked and then warns that he will break her heart.

Bree, Andrew and Danielle have an appointment with the therapist, but Andrew wants nothing more than to kill George himself. Bree finally admits to not calling anyone, sitting there and watching him die. Andrew embraces Bree, thanking her for that information, now knowing that he has something against her.

Monroe poses as an orderly, only to find Betty entertaining the war, as it’s a distraction for the male Applewhite to break Caleb out, and Monroe follows behind.

Paul invites Mike to stay away from Zach, and says that they’re moving out, but Mike threatens to call the police if he sees a “for sale” sign in front of the house.

Carlos is preparing shots for the Botswana relief, as Gabrielle criticizes Carlos for going halfway around the world to help the poor when there are poor RIGHT HERE, but then gives Carlos an allergic reaction to the yellow fever vaccine, but Carlos’ moaning in his fever is for Sister Mary.

Susan is painting over WHORE as her father arrives to mention he’s proud of her.

And that’s it.
