The RAW Events
— Sorry for the no-show last week. Just got done with finals and have to say… I couldn’t be more happier. Thank goodness that is all said and done, because if you have ever been in a finals college week with your grades and tuition on the line, well you know how stressful that week can be. But like I said, that’s over and done with now we can kick back and get a little Raw. Haha, catchy ain’t it!?

Boston, Mass.

Hosts: Joey Styles, King, & Coach

The MAIN Events

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Kurt Angle vs. Ric Flair
Gotta luv the new wrestling shoes Angle is sporting now, classic. And also we get Flair’s first appearance since his road rage incident. Good back and forth stuff takes place between these two as the straps suddenly come off as Angle locks on the ankle lock. Submission is finally broken up by the ropes as we go into break. But as we come back, Flair is once again in submission by a headlock until that is broken up by a back body drop that helps Ric bait Angle into the corner with hi shoulder to slow down the match as he works on Kurt’s knee. The figure four is locked on as Angle hits the mat and that is only broken up by Angle grabbing the ropes. With both men back up on their feet, Flair slaps in some chops in the corner, but is jumped into an over the head belly to belly suplex by Angle that switches the momentum drastically until Angle is derailed to the outside. Kurt grabs the chair but is avoided by Flair, only to give Kurt some time to pull out some brass knucks to deliver the right hand KO for the pin and win. Good match.
Winner: Kurt Angle (1)

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton putting in the new attitude in his match now as he seems a little more aggressive than usual Nice combination that leads up to the T-bone by Shelton, but instead goes after the apple!? Sigh, he gets the apple to spit it on Carlito but is reversed into a roll- up to give the victory the other way.
Winner: Carlito (2)

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Big Show vs. Shawn Michaels
The newly found wrecking ball of Raw takes the slugging fast to HBK until Shawn musters enough strength to throw the Big Show out of the ring. But the battle outside doesn’t last long as Show tosses Michaels back in to once again take over the match with the usual big forearms and slaps against the chest for his move set. Shawn tries to fight back but falls into one of the HUGEST bear hugs known to man that drains him down for a while. Knee to the face and the chops start going the other way until Show tosses HBK like a rag doll to the far right corner that sends Michaels to the mat. Chokeslam is reversed into a DDT that gives HBK time to go up top and nail the elbow to tune up the band. Sweet chin connects just to merely daze Show, another attempt fails as it reverses into a chokeslam. But HHH makes his appearance and cost Show his match by DQ in hitting Shawn outside with the SSTTEEEELLL chair.
Winners: (DQ) Shawn Michaels (3)

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Viscera vs. Chris Masters
Why, why, why, why!?!?!?! You know who’s gonna win this match, because you now Viscera aint getting a title shot anytime soon. You know I just don’t understand it, they rather pass on a real athlete such as Shelton Benjamin who puts everything out week after week, who has actually won a title, and who has even suffered in purgatory and paid his dues on HEAT, and put in a very green wannabe like Masters. You know, I’m so pissed over this match… I refuse to watch it. Master lock wins…. Automatically worst match of the night!
Winner: Chris (7)

#1 Women’s Contenders Match: Mickey James vs. Victoria
With special announcer; Trish Stratus… okay, now the announcer booth is full. Let’s just remove everyone BUT Trish, and let’s just show her for two hours! Victoria taking early control of the match, before James goes absolutely crazy on her and takes the momentum. Damn, I gotta say, if I was in the ring with her, I’d be scarred. Boston crab by Victoria tries to get the submission win, but is broken up by the ropes. Sudden DDT ends the match for the win. Better match than that *ahem* Viscera vs. other guy one.
Winner: Mickey James (6)

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: HHH vs. Kane
I’m praying for a Big Show interference here. After a few shots, Kane fires back leveling HHH and picking him up in a choke hold to drive him down to the canvas. Knee to the head follows that up to give momentum back to the game who slugs Kane in the corner before Kane fires back and shoots Hunter out of the ring for commercial. Back from break, both men down for the ten count as both men get up roughly at the same time with Kane getting the upper hand. Toss to the corner 2x with the follow up clothesline that rolls Hunter outside. Back inside, pedigree is reversed into a back flip that eventually leads to the big boot landing right in the face of the ref, which means he’ll be out until the illegal or interference move. And right on cue… out comes the sledgehammer and the Big Show! Double chokeslam connects and wow, Kane gets the win!
Winner: Kane (4)

“You can’t see me!” match: Daivari vs. John Cena
Cena running around like a chicken with his head cut off in this match as Angle and Daivari pretty much just toy with Cena for the first part of the match with Cena getting in a few lucky hits and avoiding a pleading ref. Cena then goes to play the crowed in a very large version of “Hot or Cold” which to say the least doesn’t go well as Angle interferes. But Cena finally gets a hold of Daivari and takes him out and makes him tap with the STF’U’. and after a run around with Angle, Cena hits the FU on Daivari to send the “you can’t see me” message to Angle.
Winner: John Cena (5)

Quick HEAT

— Vince starts out our show by telling us all that Eric Bischoff will stay fired and wishes him and his family a Merry Christmas. But with no GM in the chair, an interim will be appointed- Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself. But who will take the position full time, Steph? Shane? Boston’s own Theo Epstien? Who knows, but tonight the qualifying matches to enter the Elimination Chamber will be decided.

— Raw takes place from Afghanistan next Monday to salute the troops as all wrestlers went voluntarily except for Kurt Angle. Angle refuses to support a country where he doesn’t get any respect and drags down the troops over seas, um… wow. Then over the screen Daivari is set to disrespect Boston’s hometown heroes of Hockey Bruin legend Bobby Ore and Celtic legend, Larry Bird. But right before he does, Cena interferes and runs off Daivari and puts don Angle as he stands up for the troops himself.

— Trevor Murdoch pleads his case backstage with McMahon to be the next GM, and yeah… as dumb as creative can be sometimes, you know that ain’t gonna happen (I hope). And just as Vince enters his office, Candace Michelle is waiting for him as well to see if she can get the GM position. Letting Vince know that she has the best “assets” for the job in her very best porn grunting voice completely decked out in her always lovely lingerie ring attire.

— Angle is shown furious backstage wanting a match backstage against Cena. But Vince refuses the demand saying he is not Eric Bischoff. So instead of putting Angle against Cena tonight, he’s putting Cena up against Daivari tonight in the first ever “You can’t see me match!” with Cena being blindfolded.

— Smackdown Rebound: You know, that Randy Orton/ Undertaker feud actually looks pretty interesting and fun to watch, even if it may have some pretty far fetched stuff going on.

— Trish tries to let down (or dump) Mickey James softly, but James gives the sad song by saying how she went to Wrestlemania 17 where Trish stood up to Vince and ever since then has changed her life, blah, blah, blah. Anywho, short story short, Trish doesn’t say anything and keeps the ‘friendship’ going with Mickey.

— Class is in session with Matt Striker! Today’s lesson “Family Values”

RAW Analysis
— Interesting show that kept things going with some good matches (minus the Masters one of course) for the Elimination Qualifying tournament. Although there was just some shocking decisions to put in that New Year’s Revolution main event match being taking Carlito over Shelton and sigh, getting Masters in there as well. Not to mention HHH not getting the nod, I thought it would be a shoe-in for him to get back in the WWE Title match. But I guess new faces (even though not all deserving) will be semi- fun to watch. You know it was coming, big props for Reggie Bush for winning the 2005 Heisman Trophy with that being the third Trojan to win it in four years (2004 Matt Leinart and 2002 Carson Palmer). And with that being said and done, the Bowls are set! Despite there colossal (and unfortunate) breakdown in their final two games of the season, Jordan Palmer (yes, Carson Palmer’s younger brother) leads the UTEP Miners [8-3 (5-3) C-USA] vs. Toledo Rockets [8-3 (6-2) Mid- American] in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile, Alabama (Mike Price’s first return to Alabama, since… well since you know when). And of course the granddaddy of them all, The National Championship MY USC Trojans(1) [12-0 (8-0) Pac-10] vs. Texas(2) [12-0 (8-0) Big 12] in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Default home game for the Trojans who should win by 2 TD’s. Fight On! Till the next EVENT, I’m out. Peace.
