The RAW Events
— We get a special tribute to the troops tonight as we get the show they taped over seas a few weeks ago in Afghanistan. Should be interesting to see how they react to the WWE and how much their spirits go up to get some good old fashioned U.S.A entertainment from back home! Plus, we should at least get some special matches in here too!!

Afghanistan

Hosts: Joey Styles, King

And boy oh boy is Lilian Garcia a great looking Santa’s Helper!!! *wink, wink*
Lilian opens up the show with The National Anthem.

The MAIN Events

– Big Show vs. Carlito
Big Show dominates the majority of the match, not giving much up to Carlito, tossing him around the ring like a rag doll. A few punches here and there until Carlito messes up top as the choke slam gives nothing left.
Winner: Big Show (3)

– Bad Santa (JBL) vs. Good Santa (Mick Foley)
Foley starts things off by using the Santa sack (insert your own puns here!) and beating down JBL, which then pulls out a salad tongs to go down stairs. Double arm DDT pulls out Mr. Socko and is stuffed down JBL’s throat for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Mick “Santa Claus” Foley (6)

– Shelton Benjamin vs. Snitsky
Things start off hot with this match as Shelton throws some rights and lefts and flying forearm that takes Benjamin up top to hit Snitsky down for a few strong rights to the face. And then out of nowhere (I even missed it) Shelton misses the splash in the corner giving Snitsky time to nail the big boot for the win.
Winners: Snitsky (2)

– John Cena vs. Chris Masters
You know, Masters did have to come out here in this show to mess something up. I hate his matches! I’m gonna do a Masters striker here (sorry, I really don’t like the guy!) Cena wins via FU.
Winner: John Cena (7)

Intercontinental Title Match: Coach vs. Ric Flair (Champ)
Coach gets the early jump on that Nature Boy as he gets Flair down and uses his shirt to get the choke hold on. Flair takes a finger to the eye as momentum swings quickly, and lights up Coach in the corner with a few chops. Low Blow knocks Coach down and the figure four is locked in place which doesn’t take long to get the tap!
Winner: Ric Flair (4)

Santa’s Helper Match Trish Stratus & Ashely vs. Candace Michelle & Maria
Maria and Ashley start things off as Maria gets the early advantage, and bless her… she looks so happy getting the lead on Ashley. Michelle gets the tag in as Trish gets the tag but Candace decides she wants to body surf the crowd first. Those lucky soldiers! Head scissors takes down the ref instead of Michelle, but Trish doesn’t stop attacking. (And what!? The ref is already up? A lesser hit during any other match and their out for minutes!!! Sigh). Head scissors finally hit Candace properly and double team hits Michelle , but gets the roll up over Ashley to get the win.
Winner: Candace Michelle & Maria (5)

Boot Camp Match HHH vs. Shawn Michaels
HHH knocks Shawn down with a shoulder block that goes back to another tie up and toss to the ropes that leads to another shoulder block. Finally HBK gets some offense with a hip toss and a lock up into an arm bar, but takes an elbow to the face as he tosses HHH to the near left corner. Shawn finally gets his own shoulder block take down and backslide for 2! Arm bar is once again applied as HHH knocks him out of the ring with a toss to the ropes and elbow to the face as we go to break. Back in, HBK gets tossed out of the ring via back body as Hunter follows suit with a few hard rights and knees. Pedigree is attempted on the walkway but is reversed into a back body drop that give Shawn enough time to grab a few sand bags to knock down HHH. Out of nowhere a gas can is pulled out and clocked over HBK’s head as the action finally goes back into the ring with a few back and forth action. Wet mop is used over the back of the Game as HHH throws Shawn into the ring post to bring things back up but the ref is knocked out. DDT for a no cover until a new ref makes his way down. HHH starts the shoving game with the ref, and wins with a right to the face. Scoop slam leads HHH up top but gets a boot right into the chin that gets both men back to the mat. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 and both are back up (even though this is a no DQ match, but hey…) Atomic drop hits followed by a few clotheslines as this time HBK goes up top for the elbow drop and gets ready to tune up the band. HHH ducks and locks on the pedigree, but double leg take down sends HHH into the turnbuckle with the catapult and follows it up with the Sweet Chin Music.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (1)

Quick HEAT

— Vince comes out to let everyone know, especially the troops that the U.S has not forgotten about them and that the U.S. supports them.

— The realities of Afghanistan: They show how badly Afghanistan is heavily mined and what kind of explosions they deal with daily. Crazy stuff.

— Coach shows up in the middle of the ring to introduce Santa Claus who’s not fat and decked out in Santa camouflage. Santa wants to disagree about something with Vince McMahon in that the world hasn’t forgotten in what the troops are doing. And Santa says, who cares? And that Santa will cancel Christmas (all holidays) as well as fly over Afghanistan. But the “real” Santa appears

— Afghanistan press conference.

— Review of Rita Crosby with the WWE.

— More Afghanistan tour videos.

— Ric Flair comes down to the ring as Coach calls this his “farewell” tour. And also rubs it in that since Flair is on a losing streak right now, that Coach can beat Flair himself 1-2-3 for the IC title.

— The girls getting ready backstage in their best military/ Christmas gear… and the gifts for us just keep on coming.

— Video package of the true bravery and the ultimate sacrifice our troops take every single day.

— The troops make the ring!!!

— Final Afghan video to wrap the show up.

RAW Analysis
— Not much storyline wise, due to them showing lots of video packages of what they did over seas (which were VERY interesting to say the least, good to see what they are really up to up there and how the WWE tagged along) but we did get some entertaining matches as I thought we would. It wasn’t a must watch show, but it was one that you didn’t really want to miss. Anyway… just wanted to wish everyone out there Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas or whatever floats your boat this weekend. Just make sure it’s a safe one! Plus make sure we always show the love and support to all our troops whenever we get the chance, as this show helped remind us of what they are facing everyday over there, especially for those who cant be home for the holidays. Most importantly to my close friends, Cristal, Michelle, Erin, whoever else I’m missing and my family of course. And to all the INSIDEPULSE staff… take care, have fun, and till the next EVENT, I’m out. Peace!
