— Hope everyone had a good Christmas and got everything you wanted cuz I didn’t. okay, okay, it wasn’t bad by any means… I got a lot of cool stuff, just well things could have been better, especially the weather. Damn, feels like mid spring rather than late December. Oh well, cant always get a white Christmas right!?

Bridgeport, Conn

Hosts: Joey Styles, King and The Coach

The MAIN Events

– Shawn Michaels vs. Snitsky
First match of the “beat the clock” set up we have tonight as Shawn takes the early advantage over Snitsky until he’s clothslined hard against the mat as he’s picked up and side slammed to the ground. After a failed pin, Snitsky throws Shawn out of the ring and starts to slow things down, hampering Shawn’s attempts to win the match quickly. Finally HBK gets thrown back in still on the under hand as he’s slammed to the mat and followed up by a few elbows for the two count! A few shots to the gut finally help HBK back up to his feet until his tossed back to the corner and bear hugged. A few rights release the hold for Shawn as he reverses the move and gets the running elbow to switch momentum, followed by the atomic drop and clothesline. A pick up is attempted but it looks like Shawn’s back in blown out as Snitsky hits another huge clothesline. Both men go up top and Snitsky is the first to fall and nails the elbow drop leading to the tune up but his hit with the boot to the face for another close 2! Sweet chin is then hit out of nowhere for the win! Pretty good first match.
Winner: Shawn Michaels @ 5:56 (2)

– Chris Masters vs. Chavo Guerrero
And the strike continues….
Winner: No Contest; does not beat clock (6)

– Kurt Angle vs. Daivari
Daivari tries to lay down for Angle but the ref doesn’t count, which I don’t get. Ref’s count for more worst things than that and doesn’t do it here?? Yeah, lame… and to top it off the ref cost Angle the match as well.
Winners: By count out, Daivari (5)

– John Cena vs. Shelton Benjamin
On paper, this should be a good match, but with the recent outing Shelton has been placed on, eh. Headlock gets things going with a shoulder block for 2 for Cena. Stare off slows things down as the lock up and gets the twist of the arm for Cena as Benjamin bounces off the ropes a reverses the FU. Scoop slam and elbow gets another 2! Shelton this time tries to go for the cover as he gets reversed into the ropes and placed in a side slam for 2! Spinebuster connects as Cena takes a pick at the clock. Surprisingly a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE Lets go Cena/ Shelton chant! FU reversed again, spring board off the top rope and gets a 2 for Benjamin. Another “Lets go!” chant starts for both wrestlers as Shelton puts on the chin lock to try the submission but Cena drops both of them down. Missed clothesline gets a shoulder block for Cena to get the momentum swing and fisherman’s suplex gets 2! FU is almost hit, but Shelton wisely holds on to the ropes as time expires. Shelton whip kicks accidentally into the post outside as Cena drags him in as Cena surveys the damage. Poke to the eye almost gives Shelton the advantage but quick FU connects and STFU makes Benjamin tap. Wow, so it was a good match and very surprised over the huge Shelton chants throughout the match that were mixed with Cena’s. Hmm, is everyone else finally seeing the potential now?!?! Damn it, Shelton should be in this Chamber match!!!!
Winner: John Cena (1)

– Carlito vs. Victoria
Both of them actually lock up as Carlito wants a kiss from Victoria first but avoids the cheek. However Carlito doesn’t avoid hers as he gives her a hard spanking. Body slam hits Victoria, but Torrie’s dog intervenes as Candace tosses her wand, but doesn’t get the cover. Carlito finally has enough as he pins Victoria to set a new time.
Winner: Carlito @ 2:36 (4)

– Kane vs. The Heartthrobs
Kane immedieatly starts to dismember both guys and finishes them off with a double choke slam.
Winner: Kane @ 28 seconds (3)

Quick HEAT

— Vince starts off the show to let us know that all 6 competitors from the Elimination Chamber will be in action tonight to determine who will be the last one to enter. As well as talking about some un-candid comments on the Bret Hart DVD.

— The Cutting Edge: w/ special guest Ric Flair
It’s not Flair as it just a talking Flair picture over the titantron, making fun of him in the usual parody form. Edge tells “Flair” that he is better than him and once he cashes in the money in the bank, that he will be a better champ than Flair is. The real Flair finally comes out, walking down to the ring, getting ready to fight. And fight he does as he takes out Edge and Lita to clear the ring.

— Kurt Angle comes out and talks about last weeks WWE Tribute to the troops and still trashes the troops. Can’t believe Angle always gets the crap storylines, but always makes the most out of it.

— Torrie Wilson applies for the GM job as Todd Grisham walks in the office as Vince informs him to tell Flair that he’ll be defending the IC Title at New Year’s Revolution. Also ask if he things he can beat Bret Hart and replies ‘yes’.

— Mickey James backstage decorating the locker room with Christmas decorations as Trish comes backstage to let her know the deal around the Women’s title. Mickey also points up to show a mistletoe hanging from the ceiling as she pulls closer and gives a kiss to Trish smack in the middle!!! (Wow) I like this storyline a lot!!

— Contract Signing: HHH & The Big Show
Just to let you all know, I’m not a big fan of these “contract signings”. HHH out first followed by Show who throws out his chair. Both men sign off as HHH takes the mic and says he never had a problem with the Big Show until he screwed him out of the title shot. Also turns the tables and says how he had to work for everything while Show got everything handed to him. And that Show is just a sideshow freak and a really ‘tall’ guy. But Show stops him short and ask HHH if he knows who exactly who he is talking too as this time HHH doesn’t have any back-up. But HHH doesn’t need any back-up as he pokes show with the pen and pulls out a sledgehammer underneath the signing table. Once outside the ring, HHH slams the hammer down on Show’s chokeslam hand as he walks off.

— Stacy Keibler sneak peek of Dancing with Starts 2!

— Shelton is backstage talking over the phone on how he lost to Cena. But is kind of taken aback by whoever he was talking to, letting him know that they’re coming to Raw next week.

— Striker tries out for the GM as Vince continues to look over the Bret Hart DVD. And books Cena vs. Angle next week in a first blood match.

— Carlito gives his holiday message in his own way in how him being WWE champion will be “Cool!”

— Vince comes out to review the Bret Hart DVD and says that he believes he was right, and Bret believes he was right too. So he asks the crowd, but asks the same question in how if they think he was right, or if Bret was wrong. But Vince doesn’t care, as long as Vince gets what he wants, it’s the right thing to do. And out comes HBK, saying the last thing he’s gonna do is defend Bret. But if he had to do it all over again with Shawn saying “yes”. But because he’s loyalty is with WWE and feels it’s the right thing to do for the company. But also tells Vince its time to let that day go and move on. However, Vince says as people “move on” they go, but one thing remains the same, McMahon. And just like everyone else, Shawn is expendable. While his New Year’s Revolution is a zero tolerance rule to take no crap from anyone, admitting that he screwed Bret, but doesn’t want to screw Shawn to end the show.

RAW Analysis
— Not much to say here, except that the show could have been better, a lot better. Not that it was bad or anything, but lots of those “beat the clock” matches that I was looking forward to and that could have made the show a lot better was just well… disappointing. Those strings of matches could have made some interesting matches but dropped the ball and made the majority of them way too quick (yeah, I know that was the point, but only two of them actually set a time record). So I hope everyone’s holidays continue happily and have a Happy New Year! As far as my New Year’s revolution goes… well, I’m not sure about one, so get back at me later on that. So till the next Event next year, I’m out. Peace!
