Miguel Tejada is pushing hard for a trade, contrary to what some are saying. Right now the Red Sox are still trying to work out a deal; they last offered Manny Ramirez and Matt Clement, but the money doesn’t match up. Latest word is the Mets would enter the deal, sending a few players to Baltimore, including Kris Benson, if they could land Ramirez…The Red Sox are still working on a shortstop; if they can’t get Tejada, the leading candidates are free agent Alex Gonzalez and Tampa Bay’s Julio Lugo. The D-Rays want Andy Marte in a deal…Tampa Bay is nearing a deal with the Mets, where they will send Danys Baez north for a package of players including Aaron Heilman or Jae Seo…JT Snow is drawing interest from 4 teams, including the Red Sox. Snow would be a defensive replacement for Kevin Youkilis with the Sox…The Sox are still trying to move David Wells to a West Coast team. They have resumed talks with the Padres, but the Dodgers and Diamondbacks still have interest…
