Looking Ahead

How awesome were the 2 new episodes of Scrubs? VERY f*cking awesome, is the answer! Thank the lord for torrents… pity it’s supposedly the last series of the show. 5 series’ is a good run though.

Up first, New Years Revolution talk…

YOU WANA REVOLUTION?!?!

Here’s my thoughts on New Years Revolutions, LIVE, as it happened:

Edge vs. Flair

Loving the ‘Rated R’ tights Edge is wearing. Awesome quick blade job by Flair. Great ending.

Interview with Angle

Fuck me, that was f*cking cool. “I don’t like ‘Black’ people.” “I could make Jesus tap out”. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Trish vs. Mickie

Quality match. Just quality. No Mickie heel turn though. Boooo.

Maria interviews… Maria

Wooo… Gregory Helms! Love that guy…

Am I the only one who thinks the ‘Shelton’s Mama’ gimmick is great?

Edge will use the Money in the Bank tonight! I called it first!

Jerry Lawler vs. Gregory Helms

For f*cks sake.. can then bury Helms anymore?

Broadback Fountain

See they’re going the Lesbian route with Trish & Mickie.

Big Vis! Awesome! Although the entrance music was a tad cheesy, and Boogeyman-like. Shelton-Vis feud coming up then I take it?

Triple H vs. Big Show

They ruined the whole “broken cast” thing for me when show smacked his “forearm” or the “inside” of his hand on the ringpost… that’s just bullshit. I’d have preferred it if Show had lied about braking his hand, and used it as a gimmick, like Bob Orton. But hey ho, you can’t win them all.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Viscera

Man his momma’s HE-UGE. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have Big Vis dry hump Shelton’s Momma.

Booo… no luck. At least Shelton won a match again. I think this gimmick has legs. And a mouth.

Bra & Panties Gauntlet

I read somewhere Mae Young and Moolah will be in this somehow, sadly. Please don’t let the rumours be true.

Fuck. Let’s just say… Fuck. And Matt Hardy is one lucky bastard.

Fuck. Me.

What a Main Event. Having Angle get eliminated first was totally unexpected. Loved the crowd just RIPPING Cena to bits all the time. Awesome.

Great teamwork from Carlito & Masters. Eric S is right on the money in suggesting these two team up and take the Tag Titles from Big Show & Kane.

Crappy Cena… HOLY SHIT! VINCE MCMAHON! EDGE! MONEY IN THE BANK MATCH!

John Cena vs. Edge

FUCKING AWESOME! Glad they pulled the trigger… I was marking the f*ck out. Good old Edge. It’s the right time.

Who’s betting Cena will win in back at WrestleMania…

News in the Present

While the previous Smackdown spoilers were taken down from YouTube.com since the IWC started posting it everywhere, this link spoils the Tim White storyline. By clicking, you will see an unedited video segment with Josh Mathews interviewing White. We find out that White shot himself in the foot at Armageddon. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is saying that the plan is to have White continue to try to kill himself and fail, in a series of segments.

I think that if they spaced the segments out, and the angle actually lead somewhere (like a wrestler befriending old Timmy, or hell, him just eventually managing someone), then it’ll be worth it. If creative spend a fair amount of time of these segments and made them less shocking and more funny, then it’ll get over. Everybody loves the guy who’s so pathetic that he can’t even kill himself. Well.. at least I think it’s funny anyway.

Batista vs. Mark Henry is the current plan for Royal Rumble, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dear God… why? Seriously.. with rumours rampant that the WWE won’t renew Henrys’ contract (which is up later on this year), what’s the point in pushing Henry as a monster, then letting him go? Why not put somebody who’ll be around in a few years time in that spot? Bobby Lashley, although he’s young, could have some great exposure via a well timed heel turn and a short feud with Big Dave.

David “Fit” Finley has been training for his in-ring return for several months.

Well at least it means that he’s not just decided to make his comeback on the spur of the moment, or just because the ‘E asked him to (they might have, but I doubt it). I’m loving the possibility of a feud or team with Regal & Burchill. I’m a huge Burchill mark from his FWA days (he was a f*cking monster), and a feud with Finley would showcase his brawling skills and also give him some exposure to the WWE crowd.

The Boogeymen/JBL storyline is expected to progress to the point of Boogeyman biting the growth off of Jillian Hall’s face, which will also put her out of action. Angel Williams, currently training in Deep South Wrestling, may be brought up as her replacement in JBL’s Cabinet when that happens.

Loving that Boogeyman storyline, even though it is a little weird. It’s fresh and hasn’t been done before though, so a pat on the back to creative for that one. Don’t see the point of giving JBL another lass to walk around with however. Where’s the reasoning for that one? He doesn’t need anybody to talk for him, that’s for sure, so why bother?

World Wrestling Entertainment and Juventud have come to terms on a release from his contract. WWE wishes Juventud the best in all future endeavors.

Yey! About time, that’s all I can say.

“Stephanie (McMahon) Levesque and her husband, Paul Levesque (Triple H), are happy to announce that they are expecting their first child. WWE.com would like to congratulate the expecting parents.”

Fuck. Me. Please god, let them turn it into a storyline, where Kurt Angle is the father. That would rule. Or Cena… there’s a reason for a feud if ever there was one.

Additionally, Vince McMahon is said to be very keen for Bret Hart to referee McMahon’s proposed match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXII. It is extremely unlikely that Hart would agree to this. Hart was recently reported as saying he would not even accept a Hall Of Fame invitation unless McMahon apologised to him for Survivor Series ’97.

Will Vince or Bret ever grow up, and just do what’s right for business? Think of the money…

WWE is planning on releasing a second Ric Flair DVD collection later on this year.

Money grabbing bastards….

WWE has announced that Booker T vs. Randy Orton in match 7 of their 7 match series will take place on Smackdown this week. Also scheduled is the return of the Piper’s Pit featuring The Boogeyman. [PWInsider.com]

I assume that they mean Benoit vs. Randy Orton. Also, Piper’s Pit with the Boogeyman? How f*cking cool will that be.

Looking Ahead PPV Score: 5/10

Smack Dab in the middle so far, just because it’s the Rumble. When more matches are announced, then the score may go up, or it MIGHT go down. We’ll have to see.

PPV Predictions

The Royal Rumble

I’ve got a weird feeling that Edge will win the Rumble, then trade to Smackdown to face Batista.

I also think Orton will eliminate Booker T in the Rumble match, leading to a feud at WrestleMania between the two. That is, if Booker’s IN the Rumble.

Lashley will do the Kane thing and eliminate shitloads of people.

The aura is fading…
