[MISC] Youngbloods Patriarch & a Lucha Star Die

– SLAM Wrestling has posted the following:

Ricky Romero, patriarch of the Youngblood wrestling clan, has died in Texas of complications from diabetes.

The wrestling career of Romero, in his 70s, was based out of Amarillo, TX, and he had a strong friendship with Dory Funk, Sr. – father of Dory and Terry. Jay, Mark and Chris Youngblood were wrestling stars in the 1980s.

– Additionally, WrestlingObserver.com has posted that El Texano (Juan Aguilar) passed away late last night from respiratory failure at the age of 47. He had been in poor health for several months, and was being rushed to a hospital in Guadalajara for emergency surgery when he died. Texano was well known in Japan as well, and was on a WCW Clash of Champions as “Silver King II.”

Our thoughts go out to both men’s families in this hard time.
