[WWE] Angle’s Jump to Smackdown Explained on RAW

Archive

On tonight’s RAW, World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle explained — during a face-off with WWE Heavyweight Champion Edge — that his RAW contract expired on January 1, implying that he had been wrestling without a new contract for the past couple of weeks. He went on to explain that his original plan was to renegotiate with Eric Bischoff, but after hearing about Batista’s injury, he decided to sign with Theodore Long and join the Smackdown roster in time to compete in the Battle Royale for the World Title.

Also on RAW, during an interview with Todd Grisham on WWE.com’s “Unlimited,” Kurt fired Daivari as his manager.
