[SD] Full Story on Juventud’s Release

Some notes on Juventud Guerrera’s release, according to the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter:

– Even though WWE and Juvi agreed to terms for the release, it “equates to Juventud being fired, as he had been late to shows and an overall disruptive, unreliable, unbearable presence backstage since his arrival.”

– The final straw supposedly took place in his final match on Smackdown vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash. When Juvi was told he was jobbing, he tried to take key moves out of the match so Kash wouldn’t kick out of them, he sandbagged it (was dead-weight), potatoed Kash and then claimed to the agents that he was injured when confronted.

– Vince had been down on Juvi’s attitude despite being really high on him early on. Vince really liked The Mexicools’ enthusiasm, and pointed out in a locker room meeting — to show that “anything can happen” — that “who knows, maybe one day I’ll make Juventud World Champion.” Juvi let that get to his head.

– Super Crazy and Psicosis, as previously reported, had recently asked to be taken off the road with Juvi and distanced themselves from him while Guerrera kept giving WWE ideas that would put him over at the expense of The Mexicools, Rey, etc. Juvi was recently traveling with Bob Orton.

– Juvi was known for wearing sunglasses at all times backstage, talking in the third person, and acting as if he was on the same level as The Rock, The Undertaker or Austin.
