The Movie

Frank Martin is a transporter. We know this from the original movie. Now Frank Martin is transporting a child, Jack Billings. Jack is the son of Mr. Billings, who is a certified asshole, but a high-ranking government official. Frank is asked by Audrey Billings if it would be possible to take Jack to the doctor on a Saturday, as she is planning a surprise birthday party for her son.

Upon arriving at the doctor’s office, Frank notices that something is up. Soon enough there is an attempt to abduct Jack, which Frank thwarts. But he won’t be so lucky later on in that day and that is where the real fun starts. Frank is implicated due to his past military history. In actuality he is on a mission to get Jack back while trying to avoid the authorities looking for him at the same time.

Jason Statham is the man plain and simple. The moves that he can do are just amazing and he is nothing short of fantastic in the movie. This role is perfect for him and it shows. Amber Valletta is good in her role and smoking hot. Her and Statham are two reasons to like the movie right away. Add in Kate Nauta as the psychotic Lola, looking like a mix between Pink and Olive Oil and you’ve got some quality fun.

This movie has more of a plot than the original Transporter. The only problem is that the movie slows while trying to get to the point of the plot. It gets confusing at times. Add on some horrible CG at the end of the movie and it drops down a bit.

Score: 7/10

The Video

Your choice of Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 or Full Screen 1.33:1, it looks good but I can’t forget the bad CG. It looks worse at home than at the theaters. Really bad CG.

The Sound

5.1 Dolby Surround – It sounds really nice.

The Extras

The Making of Transporter 2 – Really really short feature on the making of. More of a “Hi! We made a movie!” feature.

Making The Music – Informative (In French/Subtitles) piece on the importance of composing the music for the movie.

Blooper Reel – Very short amount of bloopers.

Deleted and Extended Scenes – Nothing special here.

Score: 5/10
