– TNA is considering writing control of workers’ independent dates into contracts, particularly Japanese and Puerto Rican shows. There have been some political issues lately, for example New Japan wants AJ Styles and others to be on upcoming shows, but AJ works with NJPW competitor Big Mouth Loud. Similarly, Konnan and Killings have a relationship with Puerto Rico’s IWA, but TNA’s Dutch Mantel is helping to book WWC. They had a stipulation about controlling indie dates years ago and it didn’t work.
– There are talks of a three-man TNA heel group being sent to work Mexico, including using Jarrett to turn Konnan babyface in Mexico.
– Bob Armstrong had arthroscopic knee surgery on December 5, which goes along with the beat-down angle that aired on TNA iMPACT!
– Monty Brown is said to be a huge Sting fan growing up.
– There is talk of bringing Andrew “Test” Martin in. Last year he had a match or two with Samoa Joe overseas that got very good reviews.
