1. Introduction
—————–

Welcome, yet again, to another journey into the depths of PAW, InsidePulse’s official e-fed ran through the IP Message Boards. This time around we’re going to take a look at the goings on around PAW, including a brief history of the fed since the last time PAW Unleashed! hit the main page of IP.

Also, we are actively looking for new members of the fed, so if you’re interested, check out the details in section 4, where everything is explained to you. We’re currently DESPERATELY in need of faces, though at this point in time we’ll take just about anybody as long as your talent level is up to snuff.

Let’s get UNLEASHED!, shall we?

2. Playing Catch Up
————————

A lot has happened in PAW since that last time UNLEASHED! hit the main page, but to keep things simple, I’ll just hit on the main points.

At first, the ship was running smoothly under J.P. Johnson’s watch. But soon things got choppy, and the company was sold to PAW wrestler Dread Pirate Paulie. This caused quite a bit of conflict, as DPP wasn’t exactly the most liked of people around PAW. Groups started forming, and in the end three stables stood at odds with each other; Dread Pirate Paulie’s The Family, Bryan Henderson’s Pro-Wrestling Assassins, and Padawan’s Order. Each of them garnered members from some of the elite in the organization, and soon utter chaos began to reign over the federation. But we’ll get into that in a bit.

Talent started to pour into PAW at a steady pace, but it seemed like many of them were only in it for the short haul, as men like Bruce Wayne, Xavier Sullivan, The Joker, and A.C. Terrific quickly exited soon after their debuts. However, several key new talents came in and made a splash, including Adam Anarchy, Va’aiga, “Hollywood” Timmy Hayes, Danish Dynamite, Tommy Ganz, and the sociopath. In particular, the sociopath looked to change the face of PAW forever by challenging Dread Pirate Paulie for ownership of PAW.

The one constant throughout all of this was the World Heavyweight Champion; Tyler Byrd. The very first IPF champion, he carried that belt into PAW and defended it against all comers, successfully defending it time and time again. He stands atop the organization like a beacon of light, the one thing that has remained constant throughout the turmoil. However, a chink in his armor emerged when Bryan Henderson, the man many feel is the heir to his throne, beat him in a non-title match at PAW’s Destiny’s End Pay-Per-View. Now he must face one of Henderson’s running mates in the Pro-Wrestling Assassins, “The Maori Badass” Va’aiga at PAW Genocide.

But the most interesting story right now is that PAW president “Dread Pirate” Paulie Whelan is staring at the very real possibility that he won’t be the president anymore after Genocide. Sociopath is just that, a homocidal maniac who is looking to dismember Paulie en route to ruling PAW with an iron fist. This match at Genocide, more than any other, could change the PAW forever.

Current champions – WORLD: Tyler Byrd, STEEL CITY: Danish Dynamite, RISING STAR: “Hollywood” Timmy Hayes.

Current top feuds – Tyler Byrd v. Va’aiga, Tyler Byrd v. Bryan Henderson, Dread Pirate Paulie v. sociopath, Danish Dynamite v. Tommy Ganz v. Damian, The Religion v. Brad Moore and American Nightmare, Adam Anarchy v. Padawan, Tommy Ganz v. Dread Pirate Paulie, Jack the Ripper v. Toxic

3. News and Notes
—————–

– In news EXCLUSIVE to PAW Unleashed!, a three-way #1 contender’s match has just been announced, as Bryan Henderson takes on Padawan and Adam Anarchy, the winner to face the World Heavyweight Champion, whomever that may be after Genocide.

– Genocide’s format, a spin-the-wheel, make-the-deal-like stipulation du jour, is said to be worrying quite a few of the boys in the back, as none of them know the extent to which the violence will go in regards to the match types. Rumors that Japanese-style deathmatches may be included aren’t alleviating any worries.

– In news sure to affect the Steel City Title match featuring champion Danish Dynamite defending against both Tommy Ganz and Damian, it’s been confirmed that Danish Dynamite _and_ Tommy Ganz have been seen leaving Dread Pirate Paulie’s office. With accusations flying that one of them has sold-out to Paulie Whelan’s Family, it’s going to be interesting to see how the two men end up dealing with this news.

– We already know that sociopath’s stalker is a man from his past. What we didn’t know is that these two men have such a deep history that when these two men finally do confront each other, the PAW may be in for the bloodiest, most violent feud ever to grace the Pure American ring. We don’t want to get into the details, but needless to say the heat between these two is very real.

– Finally, Dread Pirate Paulie has GUARANTEED that sociopath will not be walking out of Genocide as the president of the company. Unlike a certain despotic wrestling owner’s “guarantees”, we don’t know how serious to take that guarantee, but it definitely adds some fuel to the already out-of-control fire Dread Pirate Paulie/sociopath have consumed PAW with.

What is e-wrestling?

E-wrestling is easy to explain. People create characters then face them off against other created characters. After what is best described as a “writing contest”, a decision is made on what will happen in the match by the “fedheads” (myself, Paulie, James Hatton, Jed Shaffer, and Kurtis Osterlund).

To complicate things a bit, e-wrestling is a fun hobby that thousands of people get involved in each year. It’s a hybrid writing contest-wrestling simulation in which real people write out what their character says and does in “roleplays” or “promos”. These are turned into wrestling matches, written by the “fedheads”. From show to show, angles and storylines develop, both created by the fedheads and the characters’ writers. These angles and storylines usually reach their pinnacle at Pay-Per-Views or Supercards, which are special shows ran every two months in PAW.

What is PAW?

PAW stands for Pure American Wrestling, and is the newly christened e-wrestling fed housed within InsidePulse’s Message Boards. It used to be the IPF, but when the last fedhead quit, Brian J. Blottie, James Hatton, and Coren stepped in. After Blottie got sick of writing everything all by his lonesome, he handed the fed to Paulie, who also couldn’t handle the fed all on his own. Thus, a committee was formed, with four actual writers from the InsidePulse main page (Brian J. Blottie, James Hatton, Jed Shaffer, and Kurtis Osterlund) teaming up with Paulie to create the most successful booking group yet.

Every two weeks, PAW presents “Adrenaline!”, which is PAW’s version of WWE’s “Monday Night Raw”. Every two months, a Pay-Per-View is held, which brings all the stories told in the two months prior to a head, and usually finishes them off.

But most of all PAW is fun. We strive to give people a creative, intriguing, exciting environment to test their writing skills in, while keeping it easy to read and fun to keep up with.

How do I join?

Go fill out an application at the forums (link at the top of the page), and post it to the Bio Thread. If you haven’t signed up for the forum, you’ll have to sign up, but it’s fast, easy, and (trust me) it’s worth it.

That’s it for this month. I hope to see lots of new faces in the PAW in the coming months, and I hope one of them is your’s. Until next time, this is Brian J. Blottie, signing off for now.
