My Top Ten TV Shows of 2005

#10 – ‘The Amazing Race 8: Family Edition’

I like reality shows as you will see and this was my first time I watched ‘The Amazing Race’ from beginning to end. Sounds strange, but true. This was a fun little show with a cool twist this time around.

#9 – ‘Beauty and the Geek’

This snuck up on me. I missed the start of the show, but caught an episode in the middle and I was hooked until the end. Both groups of people learned from each other and it made us all realize that people are people..no matter what they look like.

#8 – ‘Everybody Hates Chris’

A new show, but a good one. Chris Rock is funny. This is supposed to be Chris’ childhood..so the show is funny. Got it?

#7 – ‘American Idol 4’

I didn’t like the outcome. Bo should have won, but there is a reason people watch the show. I could care less about the “bad” people. I want to hear good singers.

#6 – ‘Lost’

I didn’t see season one, so I was a little..uh..”lost”. But the show keeps you hooked. It might have been higher on my list if I saw season one.

#5 – ‘How I Met Your Mother’

Another new show. I liked this one a lot. I can relate to the show as Ted is a lot like me. Usually the shows I can relate to..I like. No exception here. Plus, it’s funny.

#4 – ‘My Name is Earl’

How about one more newbie? This is one is hilarious! I love Jason Lee, but everyone else plays their characters to perfection. Great show..that could be higher next year.

#3 – ‘Big Brother 6’

My all-time favorite reality show. The fifth edition of this show hooked me into and ‘Big Brother 6’ was just as good. I love the drama. It’s a cross between ‘The Real World’ and a game show. Gotta love it!

#2 – ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. The show that airs before it may be more popular, but not for long. Again..I can relate to the show. Not the whole hospital thing, but everything else. The hospital just adds more drama to the show at times.

#1 – ‘The O.C.’

I will get some heat for this, since everyone knows I LOVE it. But..that’s why it’s #1. The season has not been perfect, but it is still a great show. When everything and everyone is clicking..it’s the best show on television. This IS my life, so that makes it #1!

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
