The NeelDown iMPACT Zone

– Orlano, Florida

– Hosts are Don West & Mike Tenay

– Christian Cage opens us up with a short little celebration, how he has waited 12 years to get this far and all that. He gets to the point that Monty Brown is the number one contender, and how he will beat him.

– Jeff Jarrett (who is wearing orange jeans) and a faction of Planet Jarrett, Scott D’Amore, Showtime, Alex Shelley and Gail Kim have a tape from the Shelley cam. Jarrett promises us a viewing party later tonight. Jarrett also blames Big Larry Z, Earl Hebner, Zach Gowen, and TNA management for losing the title. However, he says he will turn this negative into a positive.

Jay Lethal v. Shannon Moore v. Roderick Strong
Nice to see that now that Lethal gets his big X division win at Against All Odds in the triple threat, that now he has to work with Shannon Moore, who had apparently dissapeared for weeks after the little Styles run in. They go back and fourth with hip tosses to start and Strong gets tossed. Moore throws Lethal out who headscissors Strong off the apron followed by Moore getting the Halo from the top onto both of them. Back in Moore and Lethal go at it with Moore getting a t-bone suplex. Strong gets a backbreaker on Moore however, and Lethal gets a dragon suplex for the win. Could and should it have been longer? Yes, but at least they hit some nice spots with the headscissors and top rope moonsault, and it continues pushing Lethal. **
Winner: Jay Lethal

– Mr. Kip Gunn Ass and Road Dogg are backstage where Bob Armstrong agrees to be their partner for a six man tag against LAW. Oy.

Latin American Xchange v. Donovon Morgan, Michael Modest & Ryan Drago
Quick little squash here, as per usual on Impact every week, afterwards LAX nail all of them with the whip thing. Could have done without this shit, but oh well. -*
Winners: LAX

– Big Larry Z tells Samoa Joe he is proud of him. Speaking of “Big Lar”, did anyone else find at Against All Odds Slick Johnson telling him “we need-uh referee for the main event budday” humorous? Joe says that soon maybe Larry’s nickname will be changed to “legend” instead of “living legend” like it is now. Creative, I suppose.

Christopher Daniels v. Austin Aries
Aries attacks right off the get-go and gets a neckbreaker then hits the Pendelum Elbow. Daniels comes back with an STO and drops Aries with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker coming off the ropes. He’s about to end it with the Angel’s Wings, but decided to end it with Samoa Joe’s clutch instead, and does. Joe storms out but Daniels gets advantage of him and goes for the Best Moonsault Ever but he hits Joe’s X title. Joe gets MAD and is about to nail him with a chair in the corner but Styles makes the save, and afterwards reminds Daniels that it wasn’t for him. Then what was it for, exactly? *
Winner: Christopher Daniels

– Viewing party time, and we don’t get to see it because Jackie Gayda interupts. Jarrett says that he has connections to get the tape on the Internet unless Jackie becomes his slave, basically. Jeremy Lambert says in his live Impact report that that person is me. I would like to aware all of my fans that this is not true. However, Lambert has Christian Cage porn on his PC. Jarrett has Showtime and Shelley go to Japan to tape Sting at his PTA meetings and so on.

Team 3-Diminsional & Ron Killings v. Team Canada
Bubba dominates to start and they end up double pressing Killings onto Petey for two. Killings goes in control for a while on Heintz 57 until Roode cheap shots him. D’Von gets the hot tag and Team 3-Diminsional clean house. D’Von gets a neckbreaker on Heintz 57 and it’s Wazzzzzup Headbut time. Another one, but this time Killings turns it onto the Wazzzzup leg drop. The Dudleys go to get tables but Roode and Williams meet them with an attack as their pulling them out. This leaves Heintz 57 and Killings in the ring, and Killings gets the Axe Kick to pick up the win. Afterwards AMW attack but Rhino makes the save. *1/2, boring and watered down main event.
Winners: Team 3-Diminsional & Ron Killings

– Monty Brown goes into Christian’s locker room as we fade to black.

End of show.

The NeelDown: Nothing great this week, a pretty bad show altogether.

Jed and I discuss and debate over what’s taking the wrestling world by storm lately.

There’s a SmackDown Zone, because we all need a double dose of NeelDown now and then.

The Roundtable does something rare, and that is by for the most part agreeing on every single match.

On the topic of No Way Out though, just how bad is it going to be? PK told me earlier he thought it would be as bad as Great American Bash. It can’t be that bad, if anything Angle-Taker will be a nudge better than JBL-DAVE.
