The RAW Events
— Wow, has the USA Hockey Team been doing their best invisible man impersonation lately in the Olympics. Having a record at 1-2-1 and going up against the Russian team tomorrow, they are really lucky that they are still going to qualify for the medal round since the bottom of the two in their division play hockey worst than what they would play football. But let’s just hope that Raw doesn’t give up to many goals tonight as we got the final round of the WrestleMania Tournament Triple Threat style, power play time!!!

Trenton, NJ.

Hosts: Joey Styles, King and The Coach

The MAIN Events

– Candace Michelle vs. Torrie Wilson vs. Ashley vs. Maria vs. Victoria vs. Mickey James
Battle Royal for the #1 Contender ship for Trish’s Women’s Title, who happens to come out ringside to watch the match. Candace Michelle double teams her teammate and eliminates her first. Maria and Ashley double team Victoria out (again damn, what ring attire does Maria have on- hot and cute!) Maria is the next eliminated as I type that last part. And as Mickey and Ashley tie each other up, Candace Michelle eliminates both of them at the same time.
Winner: Candace Michelle (5)

– Edge vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Match has already begun once we come back from commercial as Hacksaw is in the early lead, knocking Edge out of the ring. But Edge fires quickly back doing the vice-versa. Back in the ring, Edge nails a perfect dropkick and follows it up with a back suplex for two! Lita provides the distraction as Edge sets up the spear and hits, getting the win. Edge uses the two by four after the match to give an after match low blow.
Winner: Edge (3)

– Kane vs. Chris Masters
Typical lock-up starts the match giving Masters the edge, quickly getting the match to spill out on the outside, working on Kane’s arm. Kane does the vintage clothesline up top with a follow up sideslam and uppercut. Big boot is caught and Master lock is attempted but blocked. Master lock is again tried but once more blocked as Masters falls into the boot and gets the surprising 1-2-3. Masterlock is place on Kane after the match… sigh, is this a WM match buildup!?!?
Winner: Kane (4)

Intercontinental Title Match: Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair (Champ)
Shelton dedicates the match to his mama as he wheels her out. Flair is heavily in control of this match, getting the chops in one after the other and knocking down Benjamin with a shoulder block. More chop shots and a backflip keep Benjamin under control. Suplex over the top rope into the ring finally gets Shelton an advantage. Round house kick gets two! A few near falls comes up for Benjamin as some disappointment start to take face, figure four on Flair is blocked and half way jump across the ring backfires as he gets an elbow to the chin. Figure four gets locked in, but Shelton reaches the ropes. Mama fakes her heart attack as Shelton gets mama’s air tank and slams it across Flair to nail the T-bone for the win and the title!
Winner: Shelton Benjamin (1)

– Spirit Squad vs. Shawn Michaels
SS dominates the majority of this match as they pull out a trampoline halfway through the match getting a clothesline on HBK on the outside. Near fall almost gets the pin as more double- teaming goes over Shawn for another two! Shawn fights back for a bit getting the elbows and atomic drops on SS. Shawn tunes up the band and connects, but the entire SS team breaks up the count and gets the DQ. But the SURPRISE of the night comes to you as Marty Jennetty comes out of the crowd to make the save for HBK.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (6)

– Carlito vs. Jober
Carlito talks through the majority of the match while wrestling and talks about an idea that he has while getting the complete squash win. Only saying about the idea that you might just say its: “Money in the Bank”
Winner: Carlito (7)

WrestleMania Tournament: (Round 3) Rob Van Dam vs. HHH vs. Big Show
As could be expected, Big Show takes total control of the match from the get go. Match goes to the outside as Show starts to maul HHH with the big slaps to the chest, taking the fight into the seats. RVD finally comes back into the picture, but Show tosses RVD around to take him out as quickly as he got in. Back in from commercial, Show is still dominating as RVD and HHH double team Show for a while, taking him out of the match as things go to RVD and HHH. Split- legged moonsault only gets two for RVD. Heel kick follows it up and hits the rolling thunder as he goes up top. Frog splash connects, but Big Show breaks things up as RVD goes after the legs of the big man. Another Frog Splash goes up but HHH tosses RVD off the top buckled as HHH gets the chair and nails Big Show. Pedigree gets the 1-2 break up by RVD. RVD Chants start up! HHH gets tossed out the ring and another Frog Splash goes and connects on Big Show, but HHH grabs the ref’s foot to stop the count and hits the pedigree on RVD for the win. Ugh.
Winner: HHH (2)

Quick HEAT
— Edge breaks up the aftermath Diva battle royal short not fast enough and starts to berate Michelle over being champion and kicks her out of the ring, saying her voice is like nails on the chalkboard, haha. Edge tells us that he had John Cena beat, but thanks to Mick Foley he doesn’t have the strap around his waist. And tonight Edge will take care of the “HO” chants as he has a match against Hacksaw who accepted. As Lita calls him out to start off the match.

— After their match, Edge calls out Foley saying he cost him his dream of walking into WrestleMania as the champion. And demands a Foley vs. Edge match at WM, but only giving him one week to accept. Two good promos by Edge.

— Big Show talks about how a wrestlers one goal is to become WWE champion and Main Event WM. And talks how he didn’t take being in the WM 2000 main event for granted and wont take tonight’s match for granted either. Stopping HHH chance to go to WM.

— The Champ in Bombay!! Ok, maybe I missed something here, but can someone please tell me why Cena is in India!?!?

— RVD’s turn to talk about tonight’s match, striving to get to the main event and how this could be his gateway to immortality. Because tonight’s match belongs to RVD! That sounded a little forced.

— Last Week: Recap of the Shawn Michaels retirement party. Vince is backstage watching the video as the spirit squad walks into the office. Four members of the squad will make their WWE debut tonight against Shawn Michaels in a 4 on 1 match.

— Striker comes out with a new lesson holding out the GQ magazine who has an article over him.

— WWE Hall of Fame inductees: Eddie Guerrero

— Vince decides to grace us with his presence, talking about the recent HBK match and Marty interference. But he isn’t upset about anything, however he wants to reward Jenetty and present a full time WWE contract to him. But that’s not all folks!!! Jenetty must only do one thing to get the contract, and that is to join a club. One that is elite in being the Mr. McMahon kiss my ass club.

— HHH talks about the WM main event slot and yada, yada, yada, we all heard what he has to say.

— John Cena stops HHH celebration holding the belt in one hand as he walks down to the ring. Getting the WM face-off picture with the belt in the background to end the show. Again, Ugh!

RAW Analysis
— With a two man advantage Raw…. Ok I’m a little stuck up right now for hockey, so sue me. But hey, I’m a hockey fan and I can’t help but get excited once the Olympic play comes on. Plus they show more of this on TV then they do with the NHL. As far as the triple threat match results are concerned, I’m not surprised, but I’m not too thrilled about it either. RVD was getting the huge face pop, but of course the front office isn’t listening. And as far as WWE bashing is concerned, I’m not one to do so… but the way things are setting up for the biggest PPV of the year, I don’t know…. The only thing that I could actually be happy about is Shelton getting the IC title and the return of the Money in the Bank match at WM. Oh yeah, go USA Hockey!! Till the puck drops on the ice for that EVENT, I’m out, Peace!
