Looking Ahead

Hello! I’m back after missing the last 5 weeks due to moving house.

Why 5 weeks you ask? Well.. it only took a day to move house, however it took the retards at AOL 5 weeks to change one broadband account from one address to another. Why it took that long, I’ve no idea.

Also, this is pretty short this week, as I’ve written the bulk of this tonight, and I’ve just done 13 hours at work (on my day off too.. that f*cker who rang in sick will pay, trust me).

Right then… enough excuses.. on with the show! (then into bed).

News… in the Present!

The latest episode of Heat is online, featuring a rematch of Goldust vs. Murdoch.

With Dusty holding the pencil, is it any wonder his son and nephew are being featured in what looks like a minor feud? Let’s just be thankful they’re not on Raw yet.

Gregory Helms’ contract was extended. He is interviewed on WWE.com, where he (in character) talks about how he has no competition and will beat anyone they put in front of him.

I’m glad they’re pushing Helms. His new character looks like it will hopefully give him the credit he deserves after all that time spent as The Hurricane. I’m a big fan of his. Hats off to the bookers.

PWInsider.com’s sources claim that TNA and Samoa Joe have came to terms on a new 2-3 year deal within the last several days, so it appears the X-Division champion will be locked into the company. There is no word that the final deal is signed yet but that is expected shortly. This is a smart move by TNA given Joe’s popularity with the TNA fans.

Good for him. However, I think it’s only a matter of time before we see Joe in the WWE. Being buried, obviously.

Stacy Keibler appeared on the Mark and Kim Show on KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles today. When asked about whether she would appear at WrestleMania 22, Stacy said she would be meeting with Vince McMahon after “Dancing with the Stars” ended to discuss her WWE future. She added that for the past seven years, she has been touring with “a circus” and mentioned how WWE forces most of their talent to pay for their own hotel rooms and rental cars and said how WWE provides no health insurance to its workers. She then said that Triple H is the one “making all the money.”

I’m sure gonna miss Stacy. Well… her arse anyway.

WrestleMania Predictions

Money In The Bank

Carlito had a “cryptic” Money In The Bank announcement last week on Raw. Looks like he’s going to win that match then. If they just use Raw guys, then it’ll probably be RVD, Big Show, Kane, Carlito and Chris Masters. In my opinion, they are pretty much dead cert. to be involved in the match.

I would have suggested Kane & Big Show defend the tag titles, however with Kane and Masters having some sort of feud, it’d make sense for them to be involved in this match.

The question is, who should be the 6th participant? The only two people I’d go with would be Flair or Shelton. Shelton would most likely be the odds on favorite, simply because it was Big Show who made his mother have a heart attack, or whatever the f*ck she collapsed for.

But, what do you do with Flair? You can’t leave him out of WrestleMania.

Of course, this is if they only have 6 wrestlers in the match. Adding another 2 to make it an 8 man ladder match might make it even more fun than if you had 6 guys in the ring. Then you could add both Flair, Shelton and another guy. Probably Chavo.

If Big Show wins this match, then look for HHH to win the WWE Title. This would a) enable them to continue their feud, and b) If HHH decides to take time off following the birth of his kid, who better to “destroy” him (in an injury angle, for example) than Big Show?

Just thought I’d throw that out there before anybody else does.

Women’s Title Match

I’ve got a bad feeling Mickie James might just cost Trish her title match tonight against Candice.

Even if she doesn’t, I’m going for a triple threat match at ‘Mania involving, Trish, Candice and Mickie.

These are the other matches I think we might see. Or, at least, what I’d book considering the current happenings on TV.

HBK vs. Vince McMahon
Edge vs. Mick Foley
Boogeyman vs. Booker T
JBL vs. Bobby Lashley
United States Title Match – Benoit vs. Finley
Henry vs. The Undertaker

My colleague Eric S seems to be pushing for a triple threat match between Benoit, Regal and Finley.

I think they’re going to go with just Benoit vs. Finley for the US title. I see a Regal-Burchill feud in the works. Who better to lead him into his first feud and get him noticed than Regal? He can talk, he can wrestle his arse off, and he’s damn entertaining.

Cruiserweight Title Match

This will probably be wasted on Heat. You just watch…

As for the wrestlers, well… Helms won’t be loosing the strap anytime soon, so he’s in. I’m sensing another battle-royal type match, filled with spots-a-plenty.

Right… can’t keep my eyes open any longer. Time for bed.

The aura is fading…

Any comments, questions, praise, abuse and lovin’ go to my email address, which is at the top next to my name.

See you all next week, and thanks for checking me out!
