[WWE] Foley & Flair Make Up?

Archive

– WWE.com has posted the latest blog entry from Mick Foley. Read it now, ’cause they don’t seem to be archiving them, and the contributions are always chock full of information. Some excerpts from this week’s:

On Stacy Keibler:
“I was able to catch the “Dancing with the Stars” finale on Sunday in between my two sleeping sessions. I was definitely disappointed that Stacy didn’t win it — or even make the final two — but she was so gracious in defeat. She had been so obviously wronged by the fan voting system that she really came across as a winner to the nearly 28 million viewers who tuned in. I expect we’ll see really big things from Stacy in the upcoming year.”

On The Philippines Trip:
“Despite the incredible travel demands, an international incident at the airport and the near overthrow of the Filipino government, I think everyone had a great trip. The fans were incredibly enthusiastic, the two shows were sellouts and we were treated extremely well by the promotion. Of course for me, the trip was especially memorable as I was able to spend two full days with my sponsored child, Herma Grace, and her family … No, it wasn’t easy, but I firmly believe that things that are worked for are often more rewarding. And my time with Herma Grace was exactly that rewarding. I expect so many of the memories to last a lifetime: Her tiny voice, saying, ‘Hello daddy,’ when I first called the room. The beauty of her scrapbook, each page decorated with intricate colored paper cutouts — each photo and letter I’d written proudly displayed as a cherished family keepsake. The way each child, Herma, Kenneth, Marvin, Queenie, and Blassie hugged the Disney stuffed toys I had brought over as gifts. Perhaps most of all, I’ll remember the words of Herma’s mother at dinner following the wrestling live event on our last night together…”

On His Flight Home, Sitting Next to Flair:
“And to just about everyone’s surprise (including my own), Ric Flair and I talked for several hours. We did discuss our differences, but we also talked about family and politics, with Ric discussing his possible run for North Carolina governor and me discussing my long-range goal of becoming United States ambassador to the Philippines … Hey, I’ll admit to not being all that comfortable at first. But I did enjoy myself, and I think Ric did, too. That’s good because upon entering United Airlines Flight No. 212 from Los Angeles to Washington, I looked at my boarding pass: 1-B. Who do you think was sitting in 1-A? Woooo!”

He also talks about the incident with a camera man that got ugly, and reveals that he will have a new book out with WWE next spring.
