Brain Spill: Two Weeks Off!

Archive

Wellity, wellity, wellity.

It appears as if CBS has fooled me yet again. Here I am like a sucker, speculating some mind-blowing twist, due to the fact that there’s only 16 contestants this season. CBS just HAD to have something to fill out that extra episode.

Looks like CBS gets to say “I win!” Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe we have been finked. Stupid basketball. Do you know how hard it is to watch a sad episode of Survivor, and follow it up with “three weeks from tonight…”? Two whole weeks without Survivor? This can’t be possible!

But alas, it is. Sadly, my friend(s) (in case there’s more than one of you), the fact remains that we must press on, and attempt to live life without our Thursday night fix. But think of all the things you can do in that time (I’ll give you time to think)

Okay, so you’re like me, and you make a schedule AROUND Survivor, so this doesn’t open things up; it merely puts a hole in your itinerary. But just in case you do get ambitious, watch the stupid Survivor-delaying NCAA basketball championship, or perhaps clean your room, or go on a quest for buried treasure, or even travel the country solving mysteries in a bitchin’ van. The possibilities are endless.

As for Dora, well, I’m actually ecstatic. Two weeks off from Survivor means two weeks off for me! This week ends with lots of tests, and next week it’s off to beautiful California for Spring Break! This could not have come at a better time!

But, pursuant to my contractual (although imaginary) obligations, I still must submit a column. So I will offer what I did in the previous offseason, with a famous DICS column (Dora’s Insidepulse Controversy on Survivor). The topic for this week is as follows:

Dora’s Top Five Favorite Players Ever:

T-5: Amber Brkich (Outback, All Stars)
T-5: Tom Buchanan (Africa, All Stars)

4: Stephenie LaGrossa (Palau, Guatemala)

3: Kim Powers (Africa)

2: Kathy Vavrick-O’Brien (Marquesas, All Stars)

1: Chris Daugherty (Vanuatu)

And here’s the best part- since it’s MY favorites, you can’t disagree. It’s not a matter of ‘good’ or ‘strategic’ player; it’s who I liked because I said so. Looks like I’m pulling a CBS, and saying “I win!”

Some of you may be surprised by this list, others may have had a general idea for some time. Either way, feel free to email me, and I will explain in detail the reasons behind each person.

Hooray! Shortest column ever!

So like I said, I’m busy for a couple weeks. Feel free to email me, and we’ll talk. I’ll be back in two weeks with expert analysis on the most recent episode of Survivor, so it’s fresh in your mind before Survivor gets re-booted.

So until next time, when we discuss the conjugation of irregular verbs, stay cool.
