WWE(R) Launches New Mobile Phone Program Today

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 15, 2006–World Wrestling Entertainment(R) is launching an exclusive mobile alert subscription package today, a precursor to a plethora of new web and wireless programs WWE plans to roll out later this spring.

For $3.99 per month, WWE fans will be able to stay connected by having alerts delivered directly to their mobile phones through what is called SMS (Short Messaging Service). As part of this package, subscribers are provided exclusive WWE content each week, including breaking news about WWE Superstars, “Monday Night Raw(R)” and “Friday Night SmackDown(R)” previews and results, and special Superstar columns, as well as news about special events, such as the upcoming “Saturday Night’s Main Event(TM)” on NBC this Saturday, March 18. Fans also will be able to participate in exclusive polls by text messaging their answers and opinions.

“The WWE Mobile(TM) Alert package will give fans a much more robust WWE experience than ever before,” said David Knise, Vice President, Interactive Development. “This is a new way for us to keep our fans engaged in our storylines and provide them exclusive, interesting details and stats about our WWE Superstars. The advantage of this program is that fans can get their WWE info wherever and whenever it fits their schedules.”

Knise added, “The WWE Mobile Alert package is the first of several WWE made-for- mobile products and insider services we have in the pipeline, including many that include dedicated, exclusive video content and other one-of-a-kind material.”

The WWE Mobile Alert package is being made available to mobile phone users through nearly all carriers in the U.S. The package will be rolled out later this year to mobile phone subscribers in other parts of the world.

WWE fans can subscribe to the new service from their current wireless provider by texting “Fan” to 46993 (GOWWE). Fans can visit WWE.com for more information and sample content.
