Thanks to Joe Jones for sending in the following:

Referees: Ray Ramsee, Goose Mahoney, M.B. Andrews

(1) Mikey Batts pinned “Platnum” Pat Buck with a variation of a sunset
flip turned into a power bomb.

Batts has been very impressive lately in OVW. He’s Showing versatility
in having good matches with big men on TV like Tytus, Beast, and this
past week Snitsky. Also Mikey is showing that he can keep up with
smaller wrestlers like Pat Buck. Some good ambiguously gay comedy from
Buck in this match as well.

(2) “Silverback” Ryan Reeves & “Bad News” Charles Evans upset Johnny &
Jason Riggs.

Evans resembles a young Ahmed Johnson, and shows a lot of intensity.
Reeves is a monstrous powerhouse. Still the crowd favorite Riggs
Brothers fell victim to double teaming behind the ref’s back.

Deuce & Domino “The Untouchables” came out to challenge the local
baseball & football coaches to an arm wrestling match later in the
night. If The Untouchables were to lose the arm wrestling, then they
would have to actually wrestle both the coaches in a tag match. Lots of
heat for Deuce & Domino. People in the audience looked like they really
wanted to fight. Cherry did not come out with them, as she would be
wrestling in a womens’ match later in the night.

(3) Roadkill & Elijah Burke & Kasey James beat Aaron “The Idol” Stevens
& Jack Bull & Osama Rodriguez Alejandro AKA: Big Lalo.

Once again Jack Bull sang an atrocious version of “Amazing Grace”.
Roadkill, Burke & James came out to the Freebirds’ old entrance song
“Badstreet USA”. Finish came after Roadkill hit a huge splash off the
top rope. Post-match saw James, Burke and even Roadkill take turns doing
their best Freebird strut while “Badstreet USA” played. The crowd
completely ate this up.
OVW Announcer Ron Hed announced that Roadkill, Elijah Burke & Mikey
Batts would be signing autographs during intermission. No surprise, the
three were swarmed by the fans for the entire break. It should be noted
that Ron Hed not only does all the announcing from the stage by himself,
but also DJ’s all the wrestlers’ entrance music, plus video camera work,
and what appears to be play-by-play/color commentating. Not to mention
he is the timekeeper/bell ringer. Hed keeps extremely busy throughout
the shows He can be intense, or funny, and has excellent timing +
delivery.

(4) Cherry & Roni Jonah beat Serena & Fuji Cakes (w/”Dolly”, an
oversized stuffed doll).

Cherry is the former Kara Slice who recently signed a WWE Developmental
deal as a valet for Deuce & Domino. She came out on her old school style
roller skates, but removed them for this match. Roni Jonah and Fuji
Cakes are seen every week on OVW TV in the front row. Roni is Seth
Skyfire’s girlfriend, who cried on camera when Seth had his hair cut on
TV. In person, Roni resembles Lita, and could pass as her sister. After
losing the match, Fuji Cakes knocked out her partner Serena with
“Dolly”.

(5) OVW Champion “Shooter” Brent Albright successfully defended his OVW
Title against C.M. Punk in a Lumberjack match.

This was the show-stealing match of the night. Incredibly intense back
and forth action, with “The Shooter” constantly going for his Crowbar
finisher, and Punk going for his Anaconda Vise. Crowd was loudly behind
Punk, and were on their feet for the entire match. The Lumberjacks were
also constantly threatening to go at it, and ended up distracting the
ref long enough for Albright to score a quick pin. Post-match saw the
Lumberjacks in a wild brawl, while Brent Albright snuck to the back with
his title belt among all the fighting . Tremendous match.

(6) Domino of “The Untouchables” (w/Deuce) lost an arm wrestling match
to one of the local coaches, which led to a tag match immediately after.

Lots of aggravating stalling by Deuce & Domino, antagonizing the crowd.
A few of fans from the local football and baseball teams were
threatening to jump the ring, but were restrained by security. Amazing
heat for The Untouchables. It was reminiscent of the kind of heat the
Dudleys used to get in ECW. Immediately after losing the arm wrestling,
Deuce & Domino were both instantly rolled up and pinned by the local
coaches to a huge ovation.

It was announced that OVW would return to Shepherdsville in September
sometime during Homecoming Week. They did announce a show for St.Therese
on 3/19 in Louisville, and 3/25 in Elizabethtown.
