Deep Dish – George Is On Review

Official Deep Dish Website

The Inside Pulse:
This an album fans have been waiting for. It’s been 7 years since they’re last release, Junk Science, and there is a huge buzz surrounding they’re first single “Flashdance”. Can Deep Dish provide the great recipe for a hit album?

Positives:
A very catchy album with some great hooks to dance to. The beats are pretty good and the vocals compliment the album very well.

There is also one very stand out track on here. “Dreams” features former Fleetwood Mac front woman Stevie Nicks and is an absolute treasure to listen to.

Negatives:
Nothing you haven’t heard before from Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Dirty Vegas, etc. There is nothing new or groundbreaking on this disc, which is a shame, because there is a lot of potential from this duo to re-invent electronica in a big way.

Cross-breed:
Take one part Crystal Method’s Legion of Boom, one part of any Chemical Brothers album, throw in some catchy beats and you have Deep Dish.

Reason to buy:
Solid disc to dance to, but again, it’s nothing that you haven’t heard before.
