Over the past week I have been watching a great deal of past ’24’ seasons, mainly three with a sprinkle or two and four in the mix. The look back sure makes you miss Mr. Tony Almeida that’s for sure. Also over the past week I’ve had multiple discussions about the “Logan Turn.” How will the writers of ’24’ be able to explain a turn that seems totally against every other characteristic they have given President Logan since his appearance in season four. Has he been playing dumb this whole time? Is he some sort of strategic genius? Is he being used/manipulated by Henderson or others?
Starting at 9 p.m. Eastern the faithful viewers of ’24’ will hopefully find out where the heck Logan is coming from. Like every week Rob Purchase and I will be here for live recap and commentary.

Jack, Wayne, Evelyn and her kid are in a car driving away. Jack is asking her question about a safety deposit box.
Wayne is worried about the military patrols and Jack directs him to a motel. Evelyn’s girl is whining.
Rob: Stop Crying!
They arrive at the motel.
Jack makes a call to Audrey. Chloe couldnt find Henderson. He tells Audrey that its Logan, he is responsible for everything that has happened today. She says Henderson made the decision but Logan was complicent.
Jack asks Audrey to upload the locations of all the checkpoints.
Jack says he will have to get her father involved once they get the proof of the recording of Henderson and Logan talking about the plans.
Rob: Goitre face on the way back!
Jack and Wayne get Evelyn and her girl into the motel room.
Rob: Dr. Jack is making a night call.
Romo: He can’t let House have all the spotlight.
Jack is looking over Evelyn’s wound. He says he needs to clean out the wound. Jack leaves the room, him and Palmer head out together.
Henderson is in a car talking to Logan. They discuss the recording Evelyn made of the conversation. Logan says it all went wrong, the plan was to make the country strong, safe. He says it all went out of control when Henderson decided to kill Palmer.
Karen talks to Perv about what’s going on.
Romo: I love calling him Perv.
Rob: Happy hands!!
Chloe tells Karen that the president is on the line.
Rob: Audrey does kinda have a hot thing going on with those glasses. But she is still annoying.
Logan tells Karen he is issuing an executive order to arrest Jack Bauer. She asks what he is being charged with. Logan says his role in the Palmer assassination. He says he has new evidence implicating Jack.
Romo: Odds on Jack killing…?
Rob: That would be the greatest moment. I put it at 3-1. Although I still want Novick to ice him with his bare hands.
Perv and Karen talk about making sure to watch whoever is in contact with Jack.
Chloe tells Audrey about the arrest warrant.
Karen comes to talk to Audrey, who says she is going to take a nap. Karen explains the warrant and the alleged new evidence.
Romo: I’m just shocked someone talked about nap.
Rob: Next people will talk about eating or taking a shit.
Karen gets someone to put a transponder on Audrey’s car.

Jack and Wayne approach a house, it looks like it’s the house of some guy connected to the bank where the safety deposit box is. Wayne wants to just ask the guy, Jack pretty much laughs off that idea.
They scale a fence and move in. Jack works on disabling the alarm.
Romo: MacGuyver eat your heart out.
Rob: The Richard Dean Anderson in the Simpsons last night, stellar.
Jack moves in. The homeowners are still awake. Carl, the hubby, gets out of bed and goes out of his room after hearing a noise.
Jack grabs him by the throat. He hears the wife and points a gun on her to not make a call.
Jack tells Carl he is going to get him into the bank. Carl says he cant get into the bank at this hour. Jack points the gun at his wife and Carl complies and will take them to the bank.
They work on tying up the wife
Audrey is in her car and makes a call to her daddy.
Rob: YEAH!! There he is.
Heller picks up the phone. Audrey tells her dad that Jack is being set up. Audrey wants to see him in person and asks if he can re-route to Los Angelas.
Romo: Yeah in the middle of an emergency lets land in the area where the attack is planned.
Heller agrees and orders his pilot to make a stop in L.A.
Rob: Fan-Fuckingtastic.
Audrey gets out of her ca.
A homeland girl is following her by a tracer. Audrey is just filling up her gas tank.
Romo: I’m impressed she doesn’t go full serve.
Chloe tells Audrey how to find the tracker. She takes it off her car and puts it on a truck that is at the same gas station.
Audrey gets back in her car and drives off.
Romo: nice play Audrey.
Logan and the VP talk about how there is a warrant of Jack Bauer. Gardiner asks about the warrant, who assumes it came from Bauer. He is confused and thinks Logan should have discussed it with him. Logan says the last time he checked he is the commander in chief.
Gardiner thinks Jack is a hero. Logan says he has sources that say Walt Cummings was covering for Jack. He refuses to be questioned any further.
Rob: Where is Novick?
Romo: Maybe he is taking a nap.
Evelyn is still in the motel. Her girl is awake and crying over her mother who is not doing to well. This awakes Evelyn who cant really get out of the bed too easily.
Rob: Stupid brat, look what you are making her mom do.
Evelyn collapses.
Rob: SEE! Stupid kid.
Evelyn calls 911, and tells the operator her mom’s name and the address of the motel.
Henderson gets a call with the info.
Romo: That was f*cking quick.

Logan is making a speech saying the terrorist threat is over. Under his direction they.
Martha is talking to Aaron saying “he really did it.” She said she should have trusted him. She asks Aaron what is wrong. Aaron says he is just a little battle-worn.
Jack stops the car and says they have to make it the rest of the way on foot, ¾ of a mile.
Aaron calls Jack to tell him about the warrant. Aaron asks if the VP is involved, Jack tells him it’s the president. Jack tells him to watch his back.
Jack orders Carl out of the car.
Romo: I love how he just treats random civilians.
They hear a truck and take cover. The army vehicle rolls by.
Karen gets a call from Valerie who was trailing Audrey. She tells Karen they have lost Audrey. Karen wonders how she found it.
Karen tells Perv to use a satellite to track Audrey.
Jack, Wayne and Carl continue towards the bank. They arrive at the bank. Jack asks what the procedure is to get into the bank. Jack threatens Carl not to enter the wrong code.
They get in the bank. Carl enters a code”¦.and the alarm goes off. Jack asks where the vault is. They move back there.
Carl says the code for the vault is 12 digits and there is a timer on it. Wayne is told to watch Carl, while Jack types in the code.
Carl recognizes Wayne as David Palme’s brother. Wayne tells Carl he doesn’t want to know what is going on. Wayne tells Carl they thing there is info about the assassination in a safe deposit box.
Wayne tells Jack he told Carl. They say the people involved are trying to kill them.
Evelyn wakes up to a man standing over her..
Two EMS guys are shot. Henderson emergers”¦ “Where’s Bauer?” Child screams.
Rob: I hate that kid.

New Subway commercial with Jon Lovitz.
Rob: I want Jon Lovitz shot and his body mutilated.

Martha comes over to talk to Logan.
Rob: This is gonna be gold.
Logan says he thinks the press thing went pretty well. Martha says he was magnificent. He says he likes the sound of that. She says she is so proud of him. She says she is sorry for losing it. He says she walked to the edge a couple of times.
Rob: You walked to the edge!! Logan!!
They start to kiss. She apologizes to him for being a nuisance.
Logan gets a call”¦he says he has to take it privately. But she doesn’t leave, Its Henderson who says Evelyn gave up Baue’s location.
Logan says he has to write a radio speech.
Perv says he has found Audrey. Karen tells her cronie where Audrey is going.
New CTU girl asks Chloe if she has a minute, she says no. It turns out one of the satellites has been taken over. Chloe says she will look into.
Hendersons goons arrive at the bank.
Rob: Odds bank manager gets gunned down.
Romo: I would say 2-1
Jack gets into the vault. They listen to the audio tape. Carl recognizes Logan’s voice.
Rob: The question now is if Wayne gets out alive.
Carl wants to help.
Romo: Aww”¦that’s cute.
Carl says the only way out is the front door. Jack heads over alone to check it out.
Jack looks through a sight and spots a couple of goons outside.
Rob: I love it when he pulls that thing out.
Jack runs back and tells the others Henderson has people outside.
Jack says they are waiting for them to go outside. Jack thinks they should set off the silent alarm. He thinks Henderson’s men will shoot the LAPD who arrive and they can get out in the melee.
Rob: The only plan better than this was to call the “only man I can trust.” Too bad you let Henderson f*ck with that man.

Chloe is logging into a computer. Some Mission Impossible music is going on.
Rob: I love the music.
Homeland people are closing in on Audrey.
Chloe is messing with the satellite.
Perv realizes that Chloe is gone. And the music gets louder.
Rob: Happy Hands is gonna have a field day.
Romo: I hope Spencer comes back to kick his ass to protect his woman.
Chloe is approached by Perv as she exists the bathroom, he asks what she was doing. She says he can write him a report about it if he wants.
Rob: That was awesome.
Romo: He probably would like that actually.
Bauer and the others are still in the bank, they are waiting for the cops to show up.
Henderson orders his boys to shoot at the cops.
Jack moves out and starts shooting bad guys. The other follow behind.
Lots of gunfire all over the place, very confusing as to who is shooting who. Looks like the cops are losing.
Jack and the others head to a police car.
Carl is hit. They drive off.
Wayne tells Jack that Carl is dead.
Romo: Duh!
Jack tells Audrey they have the evidence. She says her dad is going to meet her at Van Nuys Airport.

The next week on ’24’ shows Heller confronting Logan. Rob and I get in hysterics over this.
Romo: Can you say President Heller? That would be awesome if he was the President for the next season.
Rob: You know Heller is gonna get killed. We still have 6-7 episodes to go.
Final Comments
Rob: An average episode, saved only by the re-appearance of Goitre-Face. One could only hope he survives next week’s mano-a-mano with Logan. Hopefully he can recruit Novick to his side to work over Logan.
Romo: Poor, poor Carl. He was just about to go to bed and wake the next the morning to another normal day of bank work. Instead he is another death in the long line of Jack Baue’s easily tossed away civilians he has used to further his own goals. Once this show is done they will have to have a memorial wall for all the people Jack has gotten killed.
Rob: My personal favourite from season four, the couple who were making out by the remote station who were killed by Harris Barnes.
